1) I now use a Canon 400D with different lenses and tripod

2) I've been shooting for more than 30years now, started in the 70'

3) I'm an amateur

4) I shoot everything except people, I'm too shy for that. I prefer landscapes or buildings. The only people that I shoot are musicians, with my new digital camera I discovered the pleasure to shoot at concerts in poor light conditions.

5) I learned how to shoot in books, magazines and now on internet

6) I have plenty of boxes full of slides, shoe boxes full of prints, and now hard disks full of files. I print my best pictures for me and my friends, and I show them on woophy or other web sites. I like to spend hours photoshopping, I'm never fully satisfied by my pictures. Of course the best ones usually don't need a lot of post treatment, when the light is good you just have to shoot and print.

7) I started as a teenager when my younger brother bought a Russian Zenit Reflex and a small B&W lab. I never stopped since.

1) What kind of camera do you use?

Canon ixus V3

2) How long have you been shooting?

In away of trying to take more than average pictures: two years. Intensely: 1 year

3) Professional, Semi-Pro, Amateur, Hobbyist, Artist?

Hobbyist

4) What do you shoot?

City-scenes, landscapes, panoramas, things that have nice light, repetitions & patterns

5) Where did you learn to shoot?

Woophy

6) What do you do with your photos when you're done with them?

I open them in Microsoft Picture Manager and/or Picasa to crop, adjust contrast & light, etc. I select the best ones to upload them on Woophy.

7) What got you started?

Nothing in particular. I just discovered that I like to take pictures. And as I always state: photography is a brilliant invention for people who cannot paint or draw to release their creativity.

A thought-provoking topic ! My answers -

1) What kind of camera do you use ? At present, Sony Cybershot H5. Previously - Minolta Dimage S414, Canon EOS 600, Canon T70 , etc., etc.

2) How long have you been shooting ? Since I was 15 ( I'm now almost 65 ! ).

3) Professional, Semi-Pro, Amateur, Hobbyist, Artist ? Hobbyist, with some delusions of artistic grandeur !

4) What do you shoot ? Anything which catches my eye !

5) Where did you learn to shoot ? By trial and ( lots of ) error.

6) What do you do with your photos when you're done with them ? Now, I download them onto computer ( iPhoto : Apple imac G5 ) crop and manipulate ( colour saturation, exposure, cropped horizon, etc. ). Maybe, select a couple for Woophy. E-mail some to friends, etc. Previously, I either made them into slide-shows ( for viewing in Camera Clubs ) or albums of prints.

7) What got you started ? Realising that people taking photographs were rarely photographed ( I have always disliked having my picture taken ! ).
