1) Point and Shoot maybe semi-professional.

2) For 4 years, almost 5.

3) Amateur and Artist, anyway the photography is an Art. :-)

4) Mostly people and strange or interesting structures.

5) I learned alone, trying.

6) I always edit my pictures to get the colours I like, adjust the contrast and sometimes the saturation, sometimes some other things.

7) I don´t really know. Maybe it was my artistic part of the brain, who knows? :-)

Nice topic !

1) A Canon EOS 400D and a Canon Powershot S1IS

2) about 7 years with a digital camera, therfore always analoge.

3) I'm an amature shooter with sometimes semi-prof results IMO

4) I like to shoot everything but special nature and city's

5) I learn it myself, reading internet and ofcaurse Woophy.

6) The pics I like I edit with photoshop but I store allmost every pic on dvd for the future.

7) I get the photo disease from my father. Sinse I'm on Woophy I got the shooting disease more and more. Also going digital makes me happy.

1) A Nikon Coolpix 8800 and 5900 and an analogue Nikkormat.

2) About 40 years ago. Digital for the last 3-4 years.

3) I am an amateur but with semi professional ambitions.

4) My speciality is "nature". I think because nature doesn't protest. I also like to make abstract "photo art" starting from a real px and working towards an abstract interpretation.

5) I am an autodidact, but read many photo periodicals and books.

6) Store them on hard discs (external). Some 10% is edited in PS and 0.1% ends up on Woophy, Flickr, fotocollectief etc.

7) It's in the family. My grandfather was a professional photographer and my eldest brother a semi-professional (he sold his pictures to magazines and calendar printers).

1) What kind of camera do you use?
Nikon D200 and a Nikon F80 when I feel I want to dot it the old way...

2) How long have you been shooting?
Must have been since 1999, my first real travel: going through the south of Vietnam by bike...

3) Professional, Semi-Pro, Amateur, Hobbyist, Artist?
A serious amateur, sometimes being able to earn back some gear...

4) What do you shoot?
anything 'Travel', landscapes, 1st impressions etc.

5) Where did you learn to shoot?
Hmmm, since that first travel in Vietnam, but a I made a major step during a round-the-world-trip which lasted 8 months, now several years back

6) What do you do with your photos when you're done with them?
1st: let them rest for a while, they never seem to be any good. Then after some hours or days, the seem to 'develop' and i can see some opportunities. Then I Post process them and store them on a hard drive, printing the best ones and trying to sell the 'sellers'

7) What got you started?
Well, going around in Vietnam was something that needed to be documented.

I agree with Jeroen that a px needs to "rest" a couple of days or weeks before postprocessing. There are exceptions of course like the series of sunsets 19 dec 2006 that I have put within minutes on Woophy because there was a forum topic on sunset that day.

1) A Nikon D70s with different lenses

2) Always loved to take pictures, but as serious i do now; since about a year

3) Amateur with the passion to go further :-)

4) anything, exept me... mostly i do landscapes, macro, etc

5) just trying...! reading books, internet, woophy of course! and the member of the fotoclub i joyned helped me a lot too

6) some end up here on woophy, some on fotocommunity and a lot on my own website. i try to sell them too, not successfully yet..... :-) i store them an cd and extern hard drive

7) i'm a visiuell-type of a person. i love forms, colours, pictures, paintings etc. i see a lot of tiny details without searching. when i went to a store with kalenders or postcards i had always to look at them. someday i thouthg i could try to make such pictures myself.. and now i can't stop me!

good topic btw ;-)

1) Canon Xius 750, Sony F828, Canon EOS 350D with a few lenses, but I think of using an analog camera again and then scanning the film.... just to see how that works.

2) Not counting the real amateur time when I just brought my films to a photoshop to get them printed, it is now about 35 years ago.

3) When you earn money with your photography on a daily basis, you are a professional.
So I used to be a professional, now I am an amateur. Sometimes I earn some money, like with winning a price in a photo-contest recently.

4) People mostly, but really anything. I am not a fan of macro's and sportsphotography, but I have done that too. I would love to try underwater-phtography, but not in cold water..... :-))

5) Friends, colleagues, working for other photographers, books and most of all from looking at other pictures, paintings, movies, etc.

6) As soon as possible I process them and choose the photos that I like. Some of them will be uploaded to Woophy, others send to friends, all of them are first stored on the harddisk and after a while on DVD and the external harddrive. Some of them may be sold...

7) My father was an amateur painter. That got me interessed in art. I used to draw pictures all the time - the only thing I was good in... I wanted to be a painter, but after my first real oil-painting in art school, I discovered that taking photos didn't took as much time as painting and it was not as messy....
Oh yes, and taking photos was a great way to meet girls! That is the reason why I wanted to be a fashion photographer too... :-))
