I have noticed since a week that there is a new style of composition in Woophy and some members try it...

So I try one too :)
(I have ever made a composition with more than one pic id:129662 4 month ago but it's not as typical as this new composition with square pics)
What do you think of it?
Personaly I think it's a vey good way to present a serie of shot (I regulary take serie to choose later the best shot but a lot of pic are lost although they are not too bad...)
Have you ever seen it before?

i finally figured it out how to do it... i had these kind of pictures in mind since a while and took pictures just for it. originally a wanded to make some new posters for me and a friend (he likes cars..) but i liked them so much that i wanded to show them to you guys too.
i'm surprised how much they seemed to be liked!
i like your butterfly-composition Nature...
a other little story by me:

Thanks for your answer Bunny and your new contribution ;).
And since I know that you "took pictures just for it" that's right that your are not the same style as 36Clicks and 2hips because your pic are taken at the same moment and it's easier to think of the story of each pic. But seeing the 1st composition of 36Clicks, I thinks it's more for an artistique study than to tell a story ( :) I don't have a favourite between this 2 goals _artistic study or tell a a story_ they are just different and I think it's good to see how photographers present their different work with the same composition)
Thanks a lot to have explained your pics and you idea!
NB: Enlarge the 1st pic of Bunny: There is a lot of details to see and I find the scene funny :)

I took also pictures of all those car-labels to make one big picutre out of it. just as 36clicks and 2 hips have done... but this picture isen't made yet. I just had more fun with the story pictures, specially the dancing couple!! it was so much fun to watch them, and making pictures that i needed to do that picture first... ;-D
i look for more of these kind of pictures... hope you have also some more Nature!
and i know at least one person who will make some experiments on it too ;-)

Hi Nature, I would say that I like your collage the most, it is a restful one and a joy for the eye.
The problem by some other ones is that there is to many on one poster, in my opinion.
I made also a little one, just a try out.

@Bunny: I think I'll make a new serie (maybe with a bat ...) you'll see some more :D
@Dieuwertje: Thanks for your contribution and your compliment :) your pic is good too! I like it because you don't use your software only for the composition but you also use it to try some effect and this result looks great!

Hi Nature,
Triptyches, Quadriptyches and Diptyches or any array other of images within a single composition and theme have been around for quite a long time. I think it's great they made their intro in to Woophy too. I've been shooting triptyches for a long time now, and after a brief stop at composing series of nine (a few of which Nature posted in his initial thread), I'm more and more playing around with composing Quadriptyches, or series of four different images, together sketching a theme, and telling a combined story which is (i hope, or at least try to make) stronger than each of the photos as stand alone. Here's my latest try:
Theme: What’s wild to you? Wildlife, landscape, adventure, extreme? I tried to go beyond the obvious and show you a combination of these themes. This series of four is about travel, freedom and vacation.
If you look carefully at the portfolios of Woophy members, you'll notice that in most cases, the individual images together create a story of their own. A few of the forum treads (Globetrotters and the specials on the News pages) show that in more detail.
An example of a triptych from my own portfolio, which was deliberately shot to be combined as a series:
Original title: "In motion"
And another one:
The ancient elements of Alchemy - According to the Empedocles, a Greek philosopher, scientist and healer who lived in Sicily in the fifth century B.C., all matter is comprised of four "roots" or elements of (from left to right: Fire, Sky, Earth and Water

NB: I think I'll make the bat composition a new time because this one was made quickly ( I've just seen that the 4 pic on sides are not very centrated in height and length ... :S )
@36Clicks: thanks for your answer. Yours 1st and last composition are really excellent! (I particullary like the format of the photographs which I like much in the last composition)

I have often taken a series or collection of images on one subject, and I used to enjoy triptyches and diptyches in galleries or similar . . . I have even worked on a similar format for a friend for work . . . . .
so I wonder why I hadn't thought of doing something like the stunning ones here, myself! I shall have a go when I have time and show you the results :)
Good theme Nature, and well done everyone here for your beautiful works!
