I would use the natural thing, the pole , to crop it

Agree with Carla.
If you crop you will loose all the empty space, which gives the feeling of loneliness of this man. For me, you pict is Ok like that.

Its like Bernadette says, it looses that feeling of loneleyness when you crop it. Framing you have to do with your eyes, and you did a good job in the first place.

Hi Bogers, very nice pic. I would not crop the pic, but I tried it in b/w and liked it that way.
(In kleur vind ik het groen van de basketbal paal wat storend).

Hi Bogers, don't crop this picture please, the bench seems to main topic if you do. Like the space between the old man and the left border. Great pict by the way

The lady's are right; don't crop. And I agree with the remark from Lizzy about the color of the basketball-pole. This picture in B&W is a good suggestion.

NIET OVERDRIJVEN - but B&W has has something. It van provide stronger images than most color-pictures. If the use of color is limited to just a few colors in the picture, most of the time the photo's becomes strong too.

i agree about the B&W and also about the cropping..it really isn't necesary. We had also here at home a dicussion about it ...;-)
