Hi!
I was just curious: Obviously you darkened the edges in this photograph... Did you do this the analogue way, in the darkroom, or on photoshop, or did you use grad ND filters?
just curious,
during color grading for motion film i came across the expression "putting an asshole on something" for this effect...

I made this shot with my Canon Digital Rebel (300D).
you can see original file here:
http://www.robi-bobi.net/pictures/people/goodbye-all-1-original.jpg (just resized, without any modifications - EXIF is also in the file)
I didn't have any filters on the cam during shooting
as you can see, big part of final look is done in photo editing software
actually I experimented a lot with this picture, and it is my first hard modified one

Robi,
Unlike Teun I don't find many good things about your photo except for the overall composition. The walking man looks as if someone told him to halt and freeze. This takes the motion from the composition. Or maybe it's the fault of shooting him from behind and not from his side. The brown/sepia tones don't act naturally and looks as if hand painted. In comparison to the original I think it's an improvement.
You've also wanted to create an appealing designed look to your photo and placed the title in the wrong side, balance to your 'signature' try to remove it or at least place it on the right hand and dimming your signature, and see the difference.

Well, I didn't. THe photo was taken while walking - it is not a set-up
I am not sure if shooting from the side will have the effect of leaving - this is what I originally meant with goodbye all
about the brown/sepia and 'hand painted' look:
I like it :)
about the signature: I always look for suggestions about framing and similar, so I will check yours.
again, thanks for your comment, I appreciate your time
