Abandoned animals

It's a well known fact that a number of cats and dogs are abandoned when their owners leave for holiday.
A supermarket chain reacted to that situation by launching a new initiative. At the entrance of their supermarkets, there is a special place where animals can be left. They are collected, at the end of each day, by the Society for Animal Protection.

It must be stressed that some cooperation is required from the owners. Here, for example, the dog has not been collected, as the owner ignored that this collection point is specifically for black dogs only.

After the remark made by our WCN reporter, things were arranged. Now a proper dog and a decent matching warning.

The Society for Animal Protection can now continue its life saving task.

Nature gone wrong

Last night, these two huge animals was discovered far from the road. Because of the night, the nature has equipped these animals with light coming from their eyes. Sadly this does more wrong than good because the moose gets blinded by their own light, and they now wanders around without having a clue about where they are.

Scientists develop most dangerous animal on earth

Dr. Frank explains: " The shark is generally considered as a very dangerous animal, but he has a serious problem: out of the water, he is completely harmless. That's why we developed a prototype with the body of a shark, and the legs and paws of a crocodile."

Dr. Stein continues: "A really dangerous animal should look harmless. If he looks fearful, people will just get scared. That's why we grafted a funny-looking collar around his neck. Now, children will want to pet him, just a few moments before being seized by the strong jaws, and being torn to shreds."

Dr. Frank and Stein realizes that there is still a lot of work ahead, as their prototype measures only 10cm, and is toothless.

Reality beats fiction (2)

We are sorry to announce that our previous report (Reality beats fiction) was incomplete. In fact, it is only Welsh and English people who will have to pay, and not the Scots. See here.

Isn't that hilarious?

PROVEN: Rain, mud, wind and nagging mothers is unimportant when it comes to enjoying a popsicle.
Even if the mud more or less crawled upon everybody's legs, this young boy found the solution. Enjoying a popsicle will stop the world for a few minutes and give a very much needed break

Pets for inmates

Thanks to Amnesty International, prisoners will be allowed the company of one pet each. Here, you see an inmate walking his dog in the corridors of the prison.
(Note: some very observant readers may notice that it is the same dog that had been abandoned at the entrance of a supermarket a few days ago, and which has now found a new home).

It has been debated whether people condemned for animal cruelty would also receive an animal. They will get one, but a particularly nasty one.
