US scientist makes a shocking discovery
Most people think that all flowers are beautiful ... but Dr. Rose Budd announced yesterday that, after years of study, she could confirm that it is not true. "Flowers are just like you and me", she said, "They become old, start to stink, and eventually die. And then, I can assure you, they are not a pretty sight!"
Dr. Budd found the culprit: " It is the hortoculturist who is responsible. He cuts the flowers, which are then sent to local markets where they are sold to unsuspecting buyers. After a few days, the latter discover that the flowers are decaying, and then they add (or renew) water, with the horrible consequence that it extends their agony."
A number of reactions followed immediately:
Our reporter denied any responsibility, and confirmed the spelling of his name: Ortho, and not Horto.
Mrs. L.M. (from Bosnia), who is the president of WOOFL ( the WOrld Of Flower Lovers), says: " I already suspected that. That's the reason why I mostly comment : Happy Birthday, Good morning, etc, without reference to the ephemeral beauty of flowers."
Mrs. H. (from Nice), said "I am extremely surprised. I often make multiple comments on a single picture, and I can assure you that I see no difference when I comment it for the 4th time, like on this pic from Ms. A. (from Poland)."

Sex in the street!
A car and a trailer in heat were seen today copulating in a street of Kraainem. Luckily, the owner of the trailer noticed it, and brought quickly a pail of cold water (see arrow) to calm them down.
One wonders what the children would look like.

Nigerian scam and Woophy
The Nigerian scam is a fraud where someone posing as a rich person (or an attorney of such a person) promises to give you a very large sum of money but ... there are some minor administrative problems to settle first. And YOU, as the beneficiary, as supposed to provide the money to settle these problems.
There is an instance of Nigerian scam on Woophy right now (and this is no joke: it is deadly serious).
1. A new member registered yesterday, mrsmyra. "She" has a single pic (100x100 px):
 with the following caption: I am Mrsmyra mclarey.from England I am deaf and has cancer of the breast I lost my husband 12yrs ago without a child of mine.
The pic has received the comments that you would expect: so sorry about your tragedy, welcome, lovely double portrait (on a 100x100 px pic!)
2. Mrs Myra is not a new member. "She" already registered in April 2009, as Mrs Myra, with a single pic:
 . "She" wrote the following blog item: I AM MRS. MYRA McLAREY. A WIDOW TO LATE DAVE McLAREY. I AM 56 YEARS OLD, I AM NOW A NEW CHRISTIAN CONVERT, SUFFERING FROM LONGTIME CANCER OF THE BREAST, FROM ALL INDICATION MY CONDITIONS IS REALLY DETERIORATING AND IT IS QUITE OBVIOUS THAT I WONT LIVE MORE THAN SIX MONTHS,ACCORDING TO MY DOCTORS,THIS IS BECAUSE THE CANCER STAGE HAS GOTTEN TO A VERY BAD STAGE.I NEED YOUR PRAYER.GOD BLESSED YOU.
3. If you look on cybercrimeops.com, you will find the following text: ... I AM MRS. MYRA McLAREY. A WIDOW TO LATE DAVE McLAREY. I AM 56 YEARS OLD, I AM NOW A NEW CHRISTIAN CONVERT, SUFFERING FROM LONGTIME CANCER OF THE BREAST, FROM ALL INDICATION MY CONDITIONS IS REALLY DETERIORATING AND IT IS QUITE OBVIOUS THAT I WONT LIVE MORE THAN SIX MONTHS, ... MY LATE HUSBAND WAS VERY WEALTHY AND AFTER HIS DEATH,I INHERITED ALL HIS BUSINESS AND WEALTH. THE DOCTORS HAS ADVISED ME THAT I MAY NOT LIVE FOR MORE THAN SIX MONTHS, SO I NOW DECIDED TO DIVIDE THE PART OF THIS WEALTH, TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE CHURCH IN AFRICA, AMERICA SIA,AND EUROPE. I PRAYED OVER IT. I AM WILLING TO DONATE THE SUM OF $5,000.000.00 MD U.S DOLLARS, TO THE LESS PRIVILEGED. PLEASE I WANT YOU TO NOTE THAT FUND IS LYING IN A BANK IN SWISS AND UPON MY INSTRUCTION, MY ATTORNEY, WHO PRESENTLY IS IN AFRICA DISTRIBUTING RELIEF MATERIALS , WILL FILE IN AND APPLICATION FOR THE TRANSFER OF THE MONEY IN YOUR NAME. ... I AWAIT URGENT REPLY AT MY PRIVATE EMAIL ...
So, let's have a bit of fun now ...
What can we conclude? Nigerian Scam protects you from cancer (she had only 6 months to live in April 2009), but provokes deafness (which she hadn't initially), and senility (as she forgot that she was already on Woophy).

Thank you for bringing this to our attention Alain,and for your good memory......I DO think that a lot of members,just dont read the comments made by other members.
But what happens now,is there some sort of policing at Woophy? I dont think so,as there have been a lot more fraudsters on here recently....

Three conclusions:
1. Doctors do make mistakes and she is still alive, fortunately.
2. Someone has been praying for her and the results are visible.
3. Maybe the $5,000.000.00 MD U.S DOLLARS will solve the finantial problems on Woophy.

Last month, local band (from Chicago) Madina Lake bassist Matthew Leone was hospitalized with severe brain trauma, after intervening to stop a woman he passed on the street from being beaten by her husband. Even though the attacker was twice his size, Matthew immediately intervened and managed to subdue the attacker - but as he waited for police to arrive, the attacker suddenly turned on him, beating him severely. He then walked away with his wife, leaving Matthew unconscious on the street. Matthew was taken to UIC Hospital for emergency brain surgery wherein a third of his skull was removed to alleviate swelling. He's currently in stable condition awaiting an additional brain surgery to reapply the removed portion of his skull. As a musician, Matthew spends most of his life on tour and unfortunately his medical insurance had lapsed just two months prior to the incident. Friends of the band and the Chicago music community are rallying to help provide for Matthew’s medical needs. The Smashing Pumpkins, along with fellow local band Kill Hannah played a charity show, with all proceeds going to these aforementioned hospital bills.
There was a raffle for tickets. Individuals can enter the raffle as many times as they wish for $10 each entry. Each winner will receive two tickets to the concert. After the tickets were on sale for 4 days they played the (amazing) show. The concert was held at the best place to see a rock show in Chicago; The Metro - the unseated venue holds a capacity about 1,200. By the end of the night, $80,000 was raised!

British landlords are shaking! After spending billions of £, it is till not possible to get rid of the much older buildings! The older buildings has increased in numbers, and are popping up all over the city!
This beautiful architecture are expected to overtake the city within 2011.

Disney sues local baker
Disney decided to sue a baker because of the similarity of his bread rolls with a famous Disney character.
The baker was unable to comment, as he is currently visiting EuroDisney with his kids.
"Ahah" said the Disney spokesperson, " it confirms what we thought: he is going to steal other ideas from us."
The problems of the poor baker are just starting. The International Olympic Committee is investigating whether the bread rolls could be used as building blocks for the olympic symbol, which is copyrighted.
Similarly, the NASA thinks that the close likeness of the bread rolls with pictures of the moon, cannot be due solely to hazard.

@Akbar: I do not know if this a Norwegian "tradition". If it is, then Norwegians have to do something else than reporting from the world of unimportant news when the summer vacation is over. The rest of the Woophians may of course keep the news coming! 
Then again. This little corner should not be bounded by some stupid limits. Should they?..
