BREAKING CUCUMBER NEWS!
Reports are coming in of a DEADLY attack carried out on TERRIFIED holidaymakers on Praia da Riviera beach, Caparica this afternoon, by the KAMIKAZE seagull gang, known locally as the TALIBAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
At this stage, we only know that there are MANY DEAD & WOUNDED, but no precise numbers, as the situation is changing all the time.
This vivid photo of the attack was mailed in by Cucumber News viewer, Mrs Elsie Sproggins of SNOGland, England, holidaying with her Great-Grandfather, Mr Bertie Hitchcock, just before she was mercilessly CUT DOWN by the FEATHERED FIENDS!
Emergency services at the scene have issued an urgent plea for help from Mr Dickie Superman, Flatbush, Brooklyn.
No government ministers were available for comment as yet, as they are all on holiday in the Seychelles.

Photographer caught red-handed!

A 40 year old photographer was arrested during the Cucumber season for shooting without permission.
He claimed he was NOT a terrorist, but failing to ask for permission to shoot landscape photos is not taken light handed. The terrorist will be brought to Anthrax Island for further questioning.

BREAKING CUCUMBER NEWS:
A new country has been found in West Pole!!!
Phywoo, with 36 358 inhabitants, has a frontier to the well known west pole countries of Spam, Maps and Samp.
A great study was made in 24hours about this new discovery and incredibly recognized that:
- 95% of the people is in a coma;
- 3% speaks by dissyllables (the word more used is "icen", the Phywooan word for "nice");
- 1,5% stay whistling up to the air;
- 0,5% try to communicate their feelings but weren't yet understood.
It was also a surprise for the Cucumber reporter who made this discover of the millenium, that everyone in this country had a TV set with the measure of 1"X1,5" and were happhy with that tiny size. Only 0,5% of the population used a magnifying glass to see the programmes in large size!
Though many channels were in the air, mostly seen were the FlowerChannel Plus, the Lady's Corner News and Focus-Out Independent Chain.
No reaction yet got to this amazing discover as no one wanted to talk to our reporter, so... keep waiting for more Breaking Cucumber News...

an error in our edition of yesterday: ortho158, our reporter has really been victim of a cardiac malaise but his days are not in danger and he should resume his column quickly.
the man coming out of the Hotel Dieu Hospital and was heading rapidly towards our offices is a reliable source and confirmed the news

Giant worms disrupt a building site
As already announced by La Rafale, our reporter recovered miraculously (after having had a good laugh with Miguel's entry).
The construction of a new house had to be interrupted when giant red worms emerged from the ground, creating panic among the workers.
