Hi all!

Trying to have a little fun. That's all

Okay!... I do not know how much used this expression is in your country, but in Norway we have so called "Cucumber News". When nothing is happening, the newspapers tend to write about not-so-very-interesting-news. Let's make our own little "news paper". The Woophy Cucumber News. WCN.

What a news photo MUST have is a photo directly connected with the news, and if the photo tells a story, it will be a lot simpler to write too
All photos must have a little text. You decide how much.

I'll start with this very, very sad news from a recently broken home.

Snail father left family.

Father Snail had a huge fight with his family this weekend. Fed up with his house-less wife and a constantly nagging son, he set course for the huge unknown this evening. It did not take more than a couple of hours before his family was out of sight. His family says they hope he will come to his senses soon, and stop being such a slime bag.

Poor Belgium!

A recent poll reveals that 74% of the Belgians do not know that Belgium has a national flag, and 25% don't know how to hang it properly.

It should be noted (see previous pic) that, for their National Day, some Belgians are so patriotic that they park their cars in the right sequence.

Disaster avoided on the Ring around Brussels

Last night, a UFO narrowly missed the Ring near Kraainem. There are no witnesses, but the tracks left by the landing gear in the field are proof enough.

Cultures destroyed!

All the farmer could do, was to weep when he discovered that a significant part of his field (25 million square millimeters) were totally destroyed. When asked if he knew who could be the culprit, he answered that he couldn't think of anybody, except maybe the dog that the reporter was walking. The dog denied any involvment. Extraterrestrials Beings (see previous article), although not accused, also denied any wrongdoing.

Tongue-in-cheek

A stray cat had it coming this evening. After constantly throwing bad jokes at the neighbor cats, its tongue got stuck in its cheek. The tongue will not be removed before the end of July due to the summer vacation.

BREAKING NEWS!

F.Ribéry and K.Benzema have taken legal action against the Washington Post today! The french international football players claim that the photo posted by the american paper, today, is a fake and it's not related to their situation linked to their affair with the underage girl who accused them of sexual abuse! Besides, the players went a step forward and claimed they are sure that the image must be addressed to the portuguese Prime-Minister who would have painted the wall as a revenge for the unfair accusation of finance inability!
The story promises to go on, yet to be really discovered the true author of such a message...

Dog fight in Belgium

A couple of retired people is organizing dog fights in their garage. They claim that they love animals, but that they need the money: the pension that they get from the government doesn't allow them to live properly.

The picture shows such a fight, between an American Staffordshire and a Chihuahua. The next fight will be held tomorrow, between the Chihuahua (who won easily) and a Pitbull. Bets can be placed through the sites of the RSPCA (in UK) or SPA (in Belgium and France).

SUPERNATURAL?

Weird things are happening around the world these days.
Only a few hundred meters from The Woophy photographer, Cloudbuster this happened. A triangle should cast a triangular shaped shadow.
Mulder & Scully did arrive, but had to leave again because of clouds and rain.
Could it be the work of aliens?

A hypermarket sells kids!

The largest chain of hypermarkets in Belgium is now selling children! Morevoer, in this period of Summer Sale, you get the second (and smallest) one at half the price!

Some people won't believe this, but it is true: the price tag (indicated by an arrow) is very visible on the back of the little girl.

Killed by car

A horrible accident hit the streets today!
Today, on July 23rd 2010 Mr Grass Hopper was killed by a car at a pedestrian walkway. All cars must stop at these stripes when someone is trying to cross the street, but no car seem to react when Mr Hopper was trying to cross the road.

Mr Hopper tried, and tried again, but the cars just came closer and closer, almost killing or injuring him several times.

In the end, Mr Hopper left the crossing field even if it is very dangerous. A car finally hit him and he died instantly, leaving him for food to a happy bird.

Mr Grass Hopper leaves a wife and 1246 children. He will be very much missed.

Mrs Hopper ask for understanding when she asks for donations to "Handicapped locusts" instead of flowers to the home.

On the question to his wife on why he wanted to cross the road, the answer was horribly enough: He wanted to get to the other side.
