I had almost forgotten this picture. I was actually very satisfied with it, but until today it had received no attention. (Thanks to Ana Helena for the nice words ) I guess the picture is not very intersting to most people?
The question is: What could be done better/different? Not at all?

It's IMO a very un-interesting px. The DOF jumps from sharp in the foreground to the vague tire. It's quite unbalanced. I really cannot see what triggered you to take this px. But I have lots of pxs on my disc for which I ask myself the same.

Well, I'm really afraid I agree with Pansa.

But your forum is interesting.
It reminds me exactly yesterday evening, when I spent one hour cleaning my folders from old pictures, remembering I liked them a lot when I catched them... But after two years, and maybe a more accurate and distant eye, I could just select them for ... my trash.
I tell you that to convince, as Pansa said, we are all our own victims.

And I'm interested also in what could be appealing for some, and not for others. So, could you tell us why you like this picture, why you are satisfied ?
I thought the reason was maybe because you was just proud of controling the aperture, but regarding the little pearls you have in your collection, the aperture control is not a secret for you, as the speed control. So ?

@Pansa: Thank you very much for your honest comment!

@Aline: First of all. No need to be afraid! Ever!
The reason I took this picture. Okay... This is probably a little too much information for some of you so I'll send you a message instead. I still want peoples honest oppinion!
By the way. "regarding the little pearls you have in your collection" Thank you very much!!

Hi Vidar, I think there is a bit too much green, it probably is a nice pic especially if it has got any sentimental value (that is what i guess) but again, probably not very appealing to the common eye.

The same thing happens to me as i think to everyone, let's say I spent a wonderful day somewhere in the country and took a pic of the scenery. Maybe the pic is not great but to me it is because I remember how the surroundings where and how the light was and the weather ecc. There are some things photography can't express.

I agree with the others. But I also think that it is possible to make it better. Here is what I did:

P.S. I had not seen devish 's comment when I converted it to b&w

The answers everyone is giving me is one of the things I love about woophy! Completely honestly when I really need it, but allways nice and pleasant!
It is as Devish said, of a sentimental value and I guess I got a little lost in my own head.

Thank you very much dear Woophians!
4 of the very best on woophy has commented this picture, and I will close this topic now.
No need for any further discussion.
