A friend started a thread elsewhere, which has taken on a life of its own. I thought it might be just as interesting here, too. What bad photography habits do you practice.

Interesting..........
I can't go with my family on a day out without my photo gear........and have to stop every 10 or 20 meters because I see something photogenic....( wife & kids yell.......DAD WALK ON!!!! ) But when I'm missing they don't search/wait for me any more....
My disk is a disaster, a big mess with photo's hanging out anywhere in every corner, in opposite of my photo bag .....( wife & kids.........we are the photo's of our last vacation????? )
When I encounter other photographers I always have to look what kind of gear they are using and talk about it .......( DAD WALK ON!!!! )
When driving ( again with family of course ) and I see something...PULL THE CAR OVER AND STOP NOW!!!!!.........( family......oh no, not again¡¡¡¡¡ )
When I am on my own I don't have any problems of this kind of course.... .....and that's why I like to go a woophy day in kampen....just photographers who know what it is ......

Good topic
Ha fotogravenswaay my family is reacting the same......oh..no ...mom, you have a lot of photo's now
When I am gardening it takes a long time because there are a lot of insects , who need a photo at once !
After making all the pictures I can't waith to download them on my PC......my husband left a deep, deep sigh then.......
So I like it to take my bike and go out alone........

Sometimes I have to take the same shot hundreds of times, at slightly different angles, and with different settings, in colour, or b&w, in jpeg or RAW, and using a tripod or not. Because I am sure I can get the perfect picture. And when I get home and look at them on the computer, it's always the first one that is the best and just needs a little crop, because I think it is just natural. Maybe it's not a bad habit, but it really annoys my wife.

Fotogravenswaay, I thought I heard myself talk . That's why I am the happiest man in the world when I can take the car, ALONE, during the week and go on photo safari!. I live in a city where countryside is 5 km away and have plenty of opportunities.

Scott. Good topic : is it, however, all about our bad habits ? " What are you taking a picture of THAT for ? " Voice of my beloved : is that my bad habit ? fotogravenswaay : Looking forward to meeting you at Kampen. Chasamatazz : Join the Club - we all do that, and with digital it has become way too easy to indulge the " perfect picture " fantasy. Jack : Come on - I know you're not really the grumpy loner you describe !

just returned from my holidays I spend a few hours uploading pictures (took a 1400 of them) Immediately I started working on them, seaside pictures = a lot of tilted horizons etc etc.
During holiday times I was the cook the most of the days, the first day after holidays I was too busy with my pictures, and while my wife was busy, unpacking, washing etc etc, I forgot to cook a meal for my family. Ingrid wasn't happy and said: so..........holidays are over??
