Hi all!
Feel free to give your honest opinion! Color or B/W? (If you had to choose )

In my opinion, the colored one is more expressive.

Vidar Hi. Normally I would agree with Christian, but in this case I prefer the B. & W. This is because it has a brighter light in the child's eyes - and, to me, eyes are of key importance in portraits.
Regards
Geoff.

I think it is possible to improve the b&w version. Here is my version.

I deleted the pic, as Vidar has uploaded it now, to replace his own original.

I prefer the b/w one. And I have to say that I like ortho's remake of the original.

@Christian: Thank you, I agree with your opinion about the colored version being more expressive. That is also why I made a B/W version. Maybe too expressive?
@Geoff, Hi & Thank you! I was too busy with the running nose to even notice the eyes, and you're very right: Eyes are important.
@Bruha2: Thank you for your opinion, and I'm also glad those days are gone. not my child.
@Ortho: Agree. Your version is much better! Thank you for your help, and feel free to mail it to me for uploading.
@Oscar_: Thank's and yes, Orthos version looks better!
Regards Vidar

Olá Vidar… Colorful photos or black person and white! Good question! I depend on the focus, both are pretty! In case of pictures I taste especially of the black and white photo because it standes out details that the color hides! Greetings.

Like Geoffrey said, eyes are important in portraits and they are pointing out just better in the b/w version, also the boys skin texture looks better in b/w I think. But...isn't that wonderful specimen of snotty production one of the most important details in this portrait ? Than I would go for the coloured one because in that one it's much clearer what we are dealing with here

@Olá Pituca: Thank you very much, and "Olá " is a great word! It should be the universal way to say hello!
@Dieuwertje: Hi and thank you for your input.
@Bluesbuster: Hi, and you've hit the point of this post! What to choose: A sweeter B/W or the detail in the colored version?..
Thank you very much to Ortho for his edit of the b/w picture. The edited version is now added to my little corner in woophy. Both versions will stay on woophy.
Thank you to all for your help and input!
Orthos version is added: #527617

Hi Vidar, I'm coming late, but, in short: colour! You know I love b&w, but in tihis case there are 2 reasons to choose colour: 1) those soft tones are really beautiful in this pic, the skin from white to pink makes a beautiful contrast with the cold colours around (green and blue); 2) as bluebuster said, the main detail - the nose production, thet makes this unrethoric, spontaneus portrait so original and interesting - is clearlyvisible only in colours.
