# Posted: 19 Mar 08 07:57

I blocked him too.

I will also write an email to the people of Flickr - that a**hole added a lot of Woophy people on Flickr as his contact.
Thank you, Joris, for reporting the stolen pictures to the copyright department of Flickr.
Like Akbar and Drora I have blocked girogio79 on Flickr.

Bloked isn't enought... he must be IMPALED
[removed (publicity of a webhosting service)]

# Posted: 19 Mar 08 16:50

My kind a humor, Mr Paulo Cat!

# Posted: 19 Mar 08 22:17

What a pity... they removed the impaled draw. Why? It was publicity? A site of impalement services?

# Posted: 19 Mar 08 22:42

You cannot advertise impalement services from dusk til dawn. Therefore it was removed at sunset GMT.

# Posted: 19 Mar 08 22:47

I arrived a message similar to that individual, and I have also blocked

Paulo, the "IMPALED" image was not being shown, instead of this, a publicity of the site that hosts that image was being shown. There is an explanation for this, something called "hotlinking" in web server terms.

Hotlinking: "Bandwidth theft or "hotlinking" is direct linking to a web site's files (images, video, etc.). An example would be using an <img> tag to display a JPEG image you found on someone else's web page so it will appear on your own site, eBay auction listing, weblog, forum message post, etc." (source ALT+TAB)

What web hosters do to disallow hotlinkig is to check if the IP that requires the media hosted in their servers is passing through some sites that are specified in a list of allowed sites. If an IP is not passing through any of those allowed sites, a default image is shown, in this case a publicity of the web hosting company.

Paulo, you have been caught doing hotlinking...

I hope to have clarified this matter.

Regards,
Marcos.

Another attempt to impale giorgio79:

# Posted: 20 Mar 08 00:47

Oh... what a pity we can not see giorgio's impalement... try it again Paulo!

# Posted: 20 Mar 08 00:51

Paulo, upload the image here: www.imageshack.us

Try again. I want to see the impale.

# Posted: 20 Mar 08 01:09 - Edited by: Paulo Calafate

You can't see the image? In my computer I see it perfectly.

# Posted: 20 Mar 08 01:29

I only see "Foto indisponível"

# Posted: 20 Mar 08 01:41

Giorgio armani...... pardon, giorgio79 impalement.

# Posted: 20 Mar 08 02:33

Well done !! haha

Saw it in Google yesterday, before removing the (unintentional) publicity I searched for the word "IMPALED" and found this.

# Posted: 20 Mar 08 08:39

I think giorgio79 deserves a fine and a suspension from Flickr (as we did here at Woophy).

Jokes about killing people don't belong in this discussion.

Again, please report giorgio79 to the Yahoo copyright abuse desk whenever he stole your pictures.
