@ Vidar: Very nice composition, full of whites but with a touch of colour. I like that the factory looks like in a techincal drawning, while the nature is colourful.

@TBM: Thank you!
@Lali: Sorry, I thought you printed it, then drew on it, but my english crashed for a second. We all used software
About the factory, I don't think I will continue with this effect. It looks very nice, and your first example is beautiful, but learning tecnique and compo with my camera is my main task at the moment. I'll leave the effects to others. (For now, anyway )
Feel free to show us the original photo. It would be nice to compare.

I've been to the Cinque Terre, even lodged at Porto Venere, but such a vew I've neverseen. It's fit to be in a photomuseum. How did you obtain that cartoon texture ? Fantastico 5++++

@Vidar; I am flattered becouse you thougt I can draw so well ... and about puting more effort in experiment; it was meant more like a joke refering to your selfaccusation Yes it would be intersting to compare the original and the experiment, but I won't upload it becouse I do not won't the original in my collection...

@jackfre: The POV in my first pic is not very usual, because it was taken from a boat leaving the harbour. The other is a view of Boccadasse, one of the most famous places of Genova, my town, and was taken with a telphoto lens. In both cases I used the "watercolor" filter. But the proceeding is not so quick, you have to select and mask different areas in order to apply the proper settings to each one, until the final result is well balanced.

My oh my, what a work I see the difference between a very good photographer and a starting amateur like me is a great part in the patience you have in the editing and work on the photo afterwards. And the knowledge about the different techniques. Not everybody has this skills and patience. Certainly not Jackfre !

Lali, why should you not make more examples, I like them very much. So now and than it's nice to see something different. And it gives us an idea to make them by ourselfs to use them at home. I like all new idea's, and of course the normal photo's stay at the first place. Regards Dieuwertje

@Dieuwertje, thank you for the encouragment, I shure will make more examples, I really enjoy doing this. But the bad thing about this is that it takes a lot of time, so if I am playing with my photos to much I don't manage to see other woophy members photos, so
Here is another experiment I made, hope you'll like it

Also my friends manipulated picture inspired by the novel of G.G. Marquez One Hundred years of solittudeā¦. Colonel Aureliano Buendia is placed in front of the squad awaiting the order to fire, dreaming of ice and trying to recollect the memory of seeing ice for the first time....

@ Lali: First of all, the picture of the flower field seems to be very good also in itself: I'd like to see the original version. Anyway, the filter effect on the flowers is amazing , the picture looks really like an oil painting, with the colour laid with a spatula. I'm not sure about the sky, the clouds appear too thick and heavy. So, my advice for your friend is that he should keep the effect on the field (and on those trees in the background) and try another filter for the sky. As regards the other picture, I'm afraid it is not a very good one. Probably the point is that it is not realistic nor abstract ...

Chuck, that's a very interesting picture! The "classic" composition is perfect for the Photoshop effect, and also the de-saturation of colours is correct. Photoshop Elements or CS?
