Dennis Interesting picture. I agree with jolien s - It is a jellyfish. As to which species, I'm guessing - Northern sea nettle jellyfish (Chrysaora fuscescens), perhaps ? Maybe another, more knowledgeable, Woophy member will be able to confirm this.
