No. It's a great shot. I gave a very positive comment which I still suppport heavily. Great shapes and colours.

It seems a chess piece ... a pawn.
Perhaps Garry Kasparov is an anonymous Woophy member and didn't like to see it in abstract way.

It's a very nice compo and vision! And an amazing light control! Yes, it's a chess pawn recreated by you, so well! If he/she had to rate it not anonymously, I don't believe he/she would rate it less than 4, or would be ashamed by any other rating! But "they" are back again!!! "They" envy your nice work, as they do with all the great pics over Woophy! Don't bother my friend, that's what "they" would like to happen! That's my position after weeks and weeks of anonymously downrating! Go on Jolijn! 5 for it!

No! This pic is nice. I like much. I think Woophy should consider the possibility of eliminating the extreme information, since it is done in the statistical studies. Again, I LIKE MUCH YOUR PIC.

Thanx every one! That makes me feel a lot better, off corse i now that not every boddy can like the same picture, i also think A.Miquel Oliveira and Paulo Calafate do have a point here. And thanxs again everyone for given me this notes!
next week i begin with the Photoclass for 12 months, So i hope i can make the right picture for the anonymous person how rated the 1 on this picture ;-)
And i will recomend WOOPHY to the other students.

Melting gold! I like how the hores's head in the background "comes out" and becomes the light where the pawns shadow is cast. . Jolijn, of course you are not obliged, but it would be nice from you to tell us in a forum how you did it... 5

Oke i will try to explain my english is not so good but i'll Try.
First of all i took it in the evening with verry less light.
I took a plate and fill it with water, than I took just a simple house lamp and hold it behind the chess peace so it reflected in to the water than I made the picture without flashlight. Very simple and no Photoshop needed !
I was just trying some thing to make a macro.

Jolijn, stop worrying about it. You are right to proud of your photo. In addition, all the comments received on your portfolio and here in reply to your forum post tell you what is most imortant.
A.Miguel Oliveira & I were discussing this question last night and we know that the maicious gang is "out there", the cowards hiding in the shadows in anonymity. We known that we have been targetted.
It is the words that people write to you that count more than ratings. My advice is just smile, forget it and carry on producing great photos.

You know Jolijn, I just was looking on the site for some pics of my own for Dieuwertje's topic and I discovered some of my pics are downrated. The first I thought was; I don't care because I only care about the comments. They tell me more then numbers. You have to think about the nice comments you received from the fellow members. You have nice pictures and I like this one you showed above.

I really love this picture! The colours are great and I think it's a very artistic picture!

Nothing wrong with the picture.
Don't look at the ratings, look at the comments. They tell you more than a rating.
