Today was a really happy day for me as i sent loads of photos into my local cities paper.
And had a phone call this morning off my dad to say look in Saturdays Nottingham evening post and so i did
to find not 1 but 4 of my photos in middle pages title wollaton winter so thought id share my excitement and to say thanks to people on here to inspire me so much and who gave me confidence in my photography.
so thank you woophy and all the members even the 1raters who inspired me to try harder.

congrats!
it is always a good feeling if they print your pictures. had the same just a few weeks ago with a havesidelong article about winning a national fotocontest :-) fun how many people you don't really know talk to you about.... :-)
have a nice new year though

Big congrats, Jonny!
The perfect end to 2007 for you. It proves that it is worth trying to get photos published, even now when the digital revolution means that everyone is a photographer and there are millions of images everywhere. It is still a satisfying feeling to be recognised, so well done to you!
My town has invited me to make a one-man exhibition next March. This is a first for me too. Nice of them. We'll see.
Aim high and have a creative, healthy 2008!
