Gustav Klimt & Sergio Leitao
I used the mirror efect on Klimt's painting, so that the resamblance is more obvious..just look at the faces of the young mothers, they both radiate such inner peace...wonderful

@TBM - Congratulations on such a very nice topic, i've seen here very good examples, and made me wonder why do i love photography so much and for so long and never got a bit interested in paintings and its painters, almost all of those in this thread are unknown to me.
@Lali - first of all thank you for seeing my gallery, and second this is amazing... Truly amazing, I had never seen this painting before... the expressions and the feelings that both images transmit are truly identical. can this be a coincidence??? Two persons, very distant in time and probably very different in character can create without knowing such a resambled image?

van Gogh's Chair and Gary Walsh's chair
Just look at the door on both pictures, they even have the "same" vertical line across them :-)
Grzegorz's chair; although at first thought very different pics... one chair wooden other plastic.. one in the room and the other at the beach..the general filling is quite alike, and the similarity of the colours speaks for it self
Oh I certalnly do enjoy this game.. :-)

Great topic and well spotted Lali chair photo. Here is an expression that I came across a while back but sorry I don't know who wrote it:
"The camera lens alone can satiate the thirst for beauty for those who, born artists, have not had the time to practice their art methodically, to the point where they become 'maestros' of the paintbrush and the palette."

Very proud to see to of my "painting" photo's here. Proud because I like the old masters like Degas and Vermeer. Their light is wonderfull....and you know photography is also painting with light!

@Ruden: Congratulations for Don Quijote: I like the way the water reflection doubles the trembling shapes that are present in Picasso's sketch.
@Lali: I'm simply without words...
And now my contribution: Riffi Rosy, with her romantic Swiss landscapes, vs. Caspar David Friedrich!!

You know... they had not yet built the houses in 1820, when Friedrich made the painting... ;-)
