I really like the variety in this subject! I see a stunning contrast in the first photo by lonesome runner and that of Bernhard... the rational and the feminine approach (at least in my opinion).
The stairs in Hamburg are the synthesis of both...

Berin. Nice topic. Do stairs down to a warm Mediterranean Sea qualify as a " Stairway to Heaven " on a chilly Autumn day ? I hope they do !

@ Geoff: They do qualify! Looking down from heaven one sees another one at ones feet!
@ Dieuwertje, what a lovely atmosphere in your first picture. And your last one is amazing, with stairs of clouds.
@ Bogers: Quite special, that similar dressed threesome, like "waiters" from heaven... good job!
