Who wants a upload limit of a couple of pics a day ? leave your message here !

Nice thinking Oscar, this direct topic is a great idea.
I am in favor of an upload limit per day, the number must be discussed all toghether taking in consideration all the ideas of woophy members but I absolutely am in favor of an upload limit (that can be modified with a direct request to the woophy staff by email: let's say that I can't go on line very often, if I send an email asking to be able to upload 15 pictures in one day because I have limited acces to internet than that can be done, but after a decision that regards the single person)

It might have some side-effect that we might want to ask joris about (maybe less people visiting the site for some reason) so we need further detail if it is actually possible, but still: I am absolutely in favor!

Thanks Devish, 30 pics a month is also a possibility. If you want to upload 15 a day then you have 15 remaining.

Both are fine with me. But n't see why a limit of let's say 5 a day is a problem. It still leaves you the opportunity to upload about 150 a month, but surely makes looking at all the pictures more pleasant.

Oscar, please do not post two topics for a single purpose with the same name...
Your objective is obvious, and you KNOW that I support you. But I do not think this is the best way to achieve it. You should remember how angry I was one year ago about this !

Fortunatelly Joris came to me with a news, a new version of Woophy which may to fix this issue and many others was being developed. Now you may think it was a lie, that it is not being developed as I thought before but fortunately, these last days I have been in contact with Joris (Woophy creator) and Marcel (developer) because of a hesitation that I had about something not related with this. In that conversation I asked about Woophy 2.0 and they told me that they have it 80% completed. Also they told me that they are late with it launching because they thought it would be more easyer than what it is.

I know this will not change anything, John will still be out, Aline will still be angry and you too... So I do not have many expectatives but I only wanted you to know this.

I think this proposal still has some potence.

Furthermore I stand with Marcos when he mentions not to open several threads with the some topic name, it is rather confusing.

Besides I don't like John being placed in some kind of marterhood. To much honor...

@Marcos, you have right about the threats, excuse me.
It is kind of a frustration that these things happens. I just want to do something before everybody leaves the site.
Maybe it is better to delete the rating system and let us wait to the new woophy 2.0 site. If these problem are solved then it is fine with me. Better no rating system as a pain in the neck system that comes back in every month's topics.

Discussed this over and over again. I was and still am a supporter of an upload limit because there is a chance that it can raise the quality.

I wouldn't vote for an upload limit! I haven't got much times the last month buth when I do have some time I would like so upload a couple of photo's who are "still on the shelf."

It's not the idea of woophy to bring only quality pics!

I can understand that everybody has a lot of wishes and oppinions how to change the system but could we keep in mind that woophy was created by one person and developed by one person as Marcus told and that it costs a lot of work, money and good thinking to change the system. This happens not just overnight, and besides it is a hell of a job to satisfy over 20.000 members! imo to many forumposts are about this subject, it seems a neverending story andI agree Nivad that we don't need marterhood on woophy.

Folks. Let's lighten up ! Most of us are keen amateur photographers. We take pictures for FUN because we enjoy it, and upload them to share our pleasure with others. Some will like them, some will not. So what ? The same is true in life : some will support us ; others criticise. Do we need the endless debates about uprating, downrating, anonymous comments, upload linmits, etc., etc. ad nauseum ? Photography is our hobby. Let's enjoy one another's pictures - or at least some of them - and abandon this never-ending navel-gazing !

Regards
