Hello woophy members!!!
Just a question: I have got quite a few of pictures here in woophy, some are nicer than others, but this one I am going to show you I don't find quite that attractive (enough to put it in the site, but still, it is not a favourite of mine).
So please, could you tell me what you think about it and why in your opinion the rating is a full 5???
Thanks, Devish

Good question Devish, and my answer is I don't like it. Don't shoot me it is my true opinion. It is not a bad pic at al but it has nothing in my point of view.
Just as you said it isn't your best pic.
But Devish, I think it is a matter of taste.

Good px with nice saturated colours and fine details. But it has not much more to tell. So it certainly is not one of your tup shots.

Difficult subject, Devish.
I agree with Paulo Calafate : "Nice detail, color saturation and point of view." This picture is not bad at tall to look !
But on my mind, an excellent picture (5) needs more than rather honest technical qualities.
As Pansa said, this picture doesn't tell me so much. Classic, without surprise, just a testimony of local architecture.
In my personal level of value, I would have not rate this picture.. Or rated 3 .
I know it is out of the usual Woophy's scale of value.

Hi Devish, I see it for the first time and I don't know why they rated it so high, maybe because they like you very much? You are absolutly right you do have much better pictures and they I like more than this one

I think the Woophy goal is to show places and details of these places. And this is the main reason that makes me to upload pictures in this site. Sometimes I also don't resist to place photos that have nothing with in respect of the site spirit (see, for example, my 131572, 232409, 365988, 296986, 291383, 296957, 133951, 138468 pictures) ... but now I'm trying to upload only pictures that in really show the places.
So, your pic, Devish, has good Woophy interest and shows a old church against a well satured blue sky with the typical pigeons on the roof. For me, the image is very well composed and its quality is the quality that your kodak easy share z700 can delivery with the 4Mp CCD that at 100 ISO the image noise is fairly minimal, but compression artifacts are visible and you loose some detail, mainly when using high zooms.

Thank you all for your awnsers.
The main reason I have posted this pic is because it is a place of wich I haven't got many pictures, so for the "woophy-goal" more than for the quality.
I think that I as well would have skipped this picture wihout rating it, even because the quality is not really good.
Thanks again to you all.

Indeed Devish, some pictures show us the place and than it is not always important how nice a pic is. That is one of the reasons I didn't delete my older pics that are not all that beautiful.

It has pretty colours and is well balanced. On top of that, the line through the ball and the cross is parallel to the slant of the round roof. The same direction is repeated in the roof at the bottom. All these lines follow the picture's diagonal. That's nice.
