Ortho158 let's not mix tomatoes with onions.
But if you want to speak about architecture, let's speak.
For some as you say the Sagrada Familia are a masterpiece, for you not.... maybe because you could not estimate the marvel of his constructive system and it sees it as a mass of stone, aesthetically for my taste it is a bit baroque....:-(
But constructivly it is a work of art, his structural system this one very well raised and there is deduced therefore that the one it design was a construction genius (Gaudi) but with a little KITSCH taste.
Rating 4, to the Sagrada Familia.
The technical cuestions in architecture and in photography is not subjective, is had or simply it is not had.....

Dear Woophy friends, remember for once and all, Woophy is a site for AMATEURS , who are sharing their joy of photograph.!!
When a photo is not technical good, tell it and give a good suggestion what to do, to make it better and tell it on a positive way !!!
So don't say "it says me nothing" because that's not constructive.
Taste doesn't have to do with a nice or good pict.
Love and peace for all, Dieuwertje

Ajajajajajaja, this discussion starts again.
Woophy is a community where every individual can find his/her place. But that doesn't mean that we have to kill each discussion.
Is there a global feeling of what is good. I think so although there will be cultural differences. But I think that there is a general feeling when a picture is good and balanced. We have our rules in aesthetics that go back to Michelangelo. So a feeling for proportions and composition is IMO rather wide spread.
Sercas thanks for the photo of Masat. It's such a strong px. Action, composition, joy, funny situation; everything is there.
Peace to you brothers and sisters !!!!

Taste nor color can be discussed reasonably is something my grandmom tought me and she is right so why are we discussing this?
Besides this seems to me totally off-topic. Tell me if I am wrong but it seemed to Sercas was merely trying to warn some that they don't have to feel insulted after reading one of his comments cause those can be a bit harsh from now on...
Instead of starting to discuss about taste, wich is as I said above quite useless, you'd better take an example of his decision start commenting more thoroughly yourselfs ;)
THAT WOULD BE REALLY CONSTRUCTIVE :p

I absolutely agree with Sercas72 about the street people.
I prefer the people on the beach.

Dear Nathan Servi, i think that you wrote down exactly what I also was trying to explain in what I ment basic rules. but let me give you an example:
this picture has some problems that can be described with a few words. it has received too much light, so the colours are turning into white. with less exposition time this can be evitated.
about the composition: it didn't folow any principal detail on the pic, well, in the middle we see the masjid but it is not straight.. so, I wonder which one of you think that this picture is beautiful.. it shows us the building, as a documentarist pic but with changing these points of view like the light and the composition, this pic could even be better.
this is what I mean about basic rules in fotography... because if you don't follow them, the pic can't be enjoyed. this is not opinion.. this is obvious, I guess.
now, this pic of laura, excellent member... is very popular, it touches us... but the reason is not only the topic; the topic can be enjoyed because: the lights are perfectly measured and the composition is well created.
if the lights are badly measured, in very small ocasions can we enjoy the picture.
I hope this can be understood by all the members...
thank you for your attention to my opinion.

Bobkati, I understand what you mean, but one of the rules of woophy is that we learn of our faults, to make better pict, so give learnful comments to whom who makes not good photo's. Only to give a 1 will not help.
