Received different opinions on the cropping of my px of the Lady in Red. What's your expert judgement.

I think the crop worked out well,
only by the remaining size it shows the photo has been cropped!

I've tried cropping with keeping the aspect ratio of the picture, it is almost impossible to get a good crop in that way. So the only way is how you cropped it pansa, but IMO a bit less space above the head of the red lady.

Bottom one is better in my opinion.
I've found that when you have a photo with a person (or animal) looking in a certain direction then it tends to look better if they are placed slightly towards the opposite side of the frame to the direction they are looking.

To me, the one with the other person's back emphasizes her isolation. The first just feels like a cropped photo. This might be a good candidate for one of those photos where the single figure is in color and the surroundings are black and white. I'm not a big fan of that technique as a rule, but it might be interesting to try here, to further emphasize the solitude.

WIth my EXPERT :))) judgement I can say that generally I prefer the second one, because of the reason thar scarlet gave, but the first one does give a lot of attention to the subject and if that is the goal than it is fine.

Well pansa, I agree with Scarlet, she said it just as I feel it.

Hello !
I prefer the photo cropped : I think that the person on the left looks only like a brown patch, not so interesting for the subject. But de stilte is right : perhaps it is impossible to transform this pix correctly, too high or not enough place around the heads (above or reflected).
The unusual ratio less bother me than the good ratio with nonsense thing on the left.

Thanks all of you for responding. The score is about 50/50. I agree that it is difficult and a matter of taste. The brown patch (as Xilintz) metioned it, does not add much to the photo (I agree) but it gives some depth (IMO) for the look of the lady. But it's not that obvious.
Thanks again dear Woophy friends.
