Here green-ness has no religious, or other, significance. It is a consequence of all the rain we receive !
Some people think that rain is a divine gift ; maybe God loves more Ireland than other lands -laugh-

I noticed that green isn't such an often seen color, besides in nature of course. Compared to red, yellow and blue it's pretty rare.
