Few times ago, I discovered a new pleasure in photography : congeal the motion, and discover its secrets.
It is specially interesting for the horseriders, and specially in dressage, where photography can reveal the the little orders given to the horse, and the rythm of the "allures".
On these 2 pictures, I saw the elevation of the right hand and the support of the left leg on the flank for an extension of the right limb. And versus. The result is the "pas espagnol".
Unfortunately I was not able to catch the moment the limb was at its higher elevation, almost horizontal.
Of course, it costs first a lot of time and patience for learn the allure to the horse.

Magnificent topic Aline,
To catch the delicate moment of the pace, is indeed extremely difficult.
I think you missed the moment by a fraction of a second but the result are
some top class shots anyway.
Unfortunately, in the four thousand horsepics I've made, I haven't had the pleasure of
witnessing le fameux pas espagnol. (you lucky ...)
So I'll pick the standard trot to show in my latest horsepic.
Congratulations with your results, you wanted to picture the charm and elegance of the horse in combination with the rider and you've succeeded more than with grace.

Very nice photos and topic Aline. You follow the trail of Eadward Muybridge, who recorded the first movement pictures on (I thought) 1904. See
