I am posting the topic before it happenes just to remaind everyone who doesn't knowe that tonight there is the moon eclipse (here in Italy it will be total and will last 4 hours, from 10 PM to 2 AM) So take out your cameras and take some shots!!! I will try but here the sky is cloudy and my camera is not the best for a moon pic, also I am not so good at it.

We are expecting a rare phenomenon here, which is moonrise in eclipse. I dont know if we will be able to see it due to clouds however. And one must have an unobstructed view of the horizon. But ... it's a lovely idea.

here is mine.
Because it was hard to get enough light, i decided to use a long exposure as well: it show us how fast this moon is moving... (5 minutes). Or is it the earth..

I'm wondering why on the first pictures, we see the lighted part at the top, and on the two last ones, made later, we see the lighted part at the left and not at the bottom ?
And why we can see a little flat part at the bottom (lightly at the left) ?

from 105 degrees further west, where a partial eclipse occured at moonrise and just after sundown:
(apologies for the snapshot ; I was on the road)
PS: The full eclipse occured before the moonrise, the partial is all we could see.

My contribution. It was fun to do! And not easy to make a good one, but I like all the results.
