I happend to find this beautiful collections of pictures taken by Christopher Lund in Iceland.
The pictures are of a place in Iceland which... well is now under water (or destroyed), since a dam was built there. These photographs were made in protest, but alas, they were to late.
This place is in eastern Iceland and was part of the one second largest unspoiled wilderness areas in Europe.
Hope you enjoy:

Christ, this is outrageous. Tis makes me angry time and time again. A lot of money is spent to protect places like this and destroying it all together is a slap in the face of all those who put money and effort in trying to protect for our natural heritage and to learn people that places like this have to be respected. This is setting a bad example for this and future generations. Terrible.
