Study of symmetry.
As architect always I have been obsessed in spite of certain topics found to take images in the daily life, between them the symmetry; used as element of composition and order in certain architectural solutions.
I hope enjoy this pics.

Great pictures Sergio, specially those taken with the wideangle/fis-eye objective.
Here's my contribution to this nice topic ;

I like symmetrical compositions because there is an inherent possibility for tension, if the symmetry is slightly modified.
For this reason I esp. like your pic of the man standing outside the ?mosque door, and also Akbar's escalators with the green-yellow sign on one side.
I think this is a wonderful near-symmetrical picture by Marcos:

Great idea again!
The most symytric can be found in architecture I think :
In a hospital
In a abby
In a Chapel
bar of cityhall
Sometimes we even see it in nature
and no, this pic is not mirrored

This one is not really symmetrical, but it's the thought that counts, right!?

@Hermine,
I love that pic thru the quatrefoil. That's exactly what I like about near-symmetry--you have the structure, but the differences make for interest or tension. Good --sophisticated-- choice!

Hello,
Very interesting topic.
As world is made of simmetries (look at you in a mirror), the common usage of 2/3-1/3 in composition should not always apply. As Scarlet, I think that simmetry enhances the part which is not simmetric, like a frame (e.g. in Hermine's last picture).
I found some in my collection:
