I was wondering how the city of the day is chosen. It is really a big coincidence but a few weeks ago I was in York and Whitby. I posted my pics on woophy and what happens? York and whitby are city of the day in a period of two weeks! York I could understand because it is a well-known city. But Whitby?? That's a village! The chance that this would become city of the day was incredibly small. I don't mind that these towns were chosen (because now I got lots of comments on my photos ;)) but I am only wondering how this is chosen?

I suppose that "secret formula" sounds better then randomly picked... ;)
However wouldn't it be an idea to have a member of the day in the same way. Relatively unknown members can come inthe spotlight this way....

just it schould be called somehow different, because of the member of the month.. to much competition ;-)
