As you all might have noticed we are very busy with maintaining the site and trying to keep everybody happy. Because of this we lack the time to introduce nice new features on Woophy.
However you can help!
We want to make the news page more attractive by adding regular photo essays or specials, like the one by Chrarlotte of Jakob Berr.
So if you have a nice photo series and a little text we might place it on the news page as a special. Just email the text and photo id #'s to info@woophy.com
Bunny and Nonkel Duvel, your series of the cinema and the lake would be great for this.
Also we are starting soon a new item on the front page called ‘The favourite place of…’
For this item we are looking for one picture and a few lines of text describing why this is you favourite place..
Hope to see a lot of contributions

Lots of succes Joris with this initiative!
My favorite place is Arnemuiden (Netherlands), because of the little campingsite by the farm(house). Its' great to be there in spring, summer and autumn because of the silence, the exploring of nature, very littele animals (insects), peace and quiet, and so on. I can hear the gras growing ;-)

Mount Pinatubu erupted in LUZON island in the Philippines in 1991. millions of tones of sulfur dioxide were discharged into the atmosphere,resulting in a decrease in the temperature worldwide over the next few years. about 40 km stood this church : at the time of the eruption-Tropical storm was passing causing a large amount of rainfall. the ash-mixed with water covered almost the entire islad.
the same church after the eruption is now "shorter" - find the difference

Nice ideas Joris!!
I've been working as a local newspaper journalist (and photographer), so I like stories! I'll see if I can think of some. The ones by nonkel and bunny are nice ones indeed.
I have 2 other (more technical) suggestions:
- in another topic Nivad came up with the idea to add the possibility to put your mother language and the other languages one speaks in the user profile
- would it be possible to make the link that is behind pictures that are put in forum topics automatically lead to the picture screen instead of the full quality picture? (so for example http://www.woophy.com/photo/60426 instead of http://www.woophy.com/images/org/60426.jpg) I sometimes see a nice picture and would like to comment on it, but it takes going to the search option (and therefore much more mouse-clicks) to find it.

We are thinking of this language / flag option and the second idea must not be difficult either
