And the stairs in the station in Prague. They scared the hell out of me.
So high, these stairs.

Grafton station, the worlds newest train station (Well it was three weeks ago when it was opened).
Grafton Station is part of the yet to be built inner city circle of the new Auckland commuter train system. Work in progress includes restored tracks, double tracking, electrification, new rolling stock and new or refurbished stations.

Newmarket station is maybe the world's second newest train station. Opened about 8 weeks ago. An important junction in the Auckland suburban commuter network between the southern & western lines.
When the NZ Railways were sold off to a succession of assorted and quite incompetant private owners at the time of NZ's 1980's state de-regulation most of the railways owned land surrounding the Newmarket station was sold off as part of the 'Great NZ State Garage Sale'. This left very little land for the extensive developments needed to bring this station up to a modern standard.
In the meantime there are some very wealthy New Zealanders living in European tax havens.

Wellington Train Terminus. Opened in 1937 it is a Georgian revival with classic portico and Spanish tiles. It is the southern terminus of all of the NZ North Island train lines.

Britomart Train Station. Opened in 2003
The hub of Auckland's new commuter transport centre which includes ferries, buses & car parking.
The building, although on the site of Auckland's very original train station, used to house the central post office
