I though there was no limit of pictures. Look at Berin and others, they have over 1000. I think you worried to soon. regards. Trudy.

Scott. I agree with both Ortho and Trudy ! On one hand, why - if you are happy with their quality - delete any ? Should you, however, decide to reduce the numbers ( and there is certainly logic in doing so, because it makes it easier for other Woophy members to look through your pictures ), Ortho's advice makes all kinds of sense. That, in fact, is how I decide which of my own pictures to cull.

As a new member, this thread puzzles me. Isn't there some prestige in having submitted a large number of photos? Geograph.org.uk has some members who have submitted over 10,000.

Hi Humphrey,
As the purpose of Woophy is to share pictures, I do not see why we should restrict ourselves to a limited number of pics. If we keep only the best ones, then it is no more a sharing site, but a prize winning one. On the other hand, there is certainly no prestige in submitting a large number of photos. Some members have uploaded tons of similar pics, and I consider that as spamming. There would be more prestige if the members uploaded pics from a high number of different places, although that would not be fair for those who don't have the opportunity to travel.
To conclude: make a selection before uploading (good, original pics only), and don't care about the number of pics.

ortho158 - Thanks for your advice. My reasons for joining Woophy were to share my photos for the enjoyment of others and to help to provide a pictorial record of places all over the World (the more the better). It will try to only submit my favourites, but from many thousands of photos this will still be a large number. However it is enthusiam that drives me, not seeking prestige.
