My opinion: if someone rates pictures, he/she should leave the rated the courtesy of a name.
Ebay for example asks for rating and everone sees who´s rating.

I totally agree with you, the time has came that I have dreaded...someone has gone and downgraded every photo that I have put on Woophy, I think it is time that I stop putting pics on here, until something is sorted to stop these people that are so intent on destroying peoples self-esteem. People do take great pride in taking and then putting good photos on Woophy, it is annoying when others give you high ratings that seem deserving, then have one person destroy all of that.
If there was a name attached to a rating then people will be more honest.

I think that stopping posting pictures isn't a solution. You'll punish the woophy-people who are working very hard on this site. So forget the downraters, ignore low ratings. I'm happy when someone leaves a comment on my pictures. I don't care about the ratings.

Wow! I can't believe it some-one has just given me a bronze camera image on my pics.. I'm over the moon.. elated even...as soon as I got that some lovely person came and down graded a lot of my pics.. I would like to say thanks to that *&#@^%.
I think that person has a big problem.

Hi Jude,
i did better... I got 2 bronze cameras, one for 4 hours and one for nearly one day... A few moments later, i had 3 pictures with a 3,75 or more rating... (unbelievable) Now, i don't care about the ratings

Thanks Nonkel... that has made me feel a little bit better . At least I'm not alone.I just don't understand the mentality of these people.

I think that the people who downgraded my pictures should leave a comment. Today in the morning I needed two pictures with 3.75 to have a bronze camera, but now one had downgraded some of my pictures and now I must wait for 5 pictures to have a bronze camera!!!
I think that I am going to do what nonkel does!

Hello members, I am just a little time a member of woophy and my idee is, that the rating is not so important. Most of all I like the comments, because I can learn of it. I think that some members are profs, because they send perfect pics. What I don't like is when someone give me a rating without a comment, then I think why got I that rating, so please give me a lot of comments.

I do believe rating is important - I like my pics (those I dont hit the bin) and it is nice to get ones work respected and honored.

The difficult thing is that you want to expose your pictures as much as possible but you don't want rude ratings or comments. The paradox is the more you expose the more vulnerable you are to ALSO to negative critique.
Don't want to start all over but......
