I've many scanned pictures. How can I upgrade this pictures ? This is an example of a scanned pic.

i know the problem but unfortunately not the solution except spend a fortune on a professional scanner for pictures :( did you scan the print or the negative?

do you have the option to scan the negative? maybe you can try that and compare the results. take care however, that the negatove is free of dust and so on ;-)

It's a pitty but i don't have the option to scan the negatives. i ask me if there's something to do with photoshop (elements 3)

i am by far no expert, but most of my scans suffer from the same problem as the one you show here: blurry, colors look different aso. of course you might be able to sharpen it (can you say that in english???) with photoshop and play a bit with colors, hue and so on, but if the original is blurry, the results will not be fantastic. from my experience working with any digital photo enhancing software it is always a compromise. add more sharpness - you get more grain, add more contrast - the darker spots tend to disappear into blackness ....
maybe the place where you have your pictures developped offers to add a disk with your pics already as jpg-files? they are not necessarily great, but better than scans ;-)

I understand your english perfectly, it's better than mine. I'm gonna try your tips and play a little bit. Maybe you'll see the results on Woophy.
