hello,
i am new here and maybe this has been asked before. in the forums there are often photos with no mention of the screen name of the photographer or the place where it comes from. is there a way of locating those photographs on the database?
for example, here where member drora has inserted the image of the little toy in a storyboard with four segments. he is committing 'toy suicide' with some words added to let us know his 'intention'. it is a witty piece of work although taken seriously it may raise concern because young people for instance here in australia do get into such a situation where they commit suicide.
now, if i wanted to check if the member who submitted that work has submitted other photos, is there a way for me to do that?
thank you,

Hi agneslr-w,
Yes there is a (complicated) way to do that.
First find out the id # of the picture by right clicking the photo.
If you have the number paste it behind this address www.woophy.com/photo/ e.g. www.woophy.com/photo/42 which is one of my photo’s
It requires a little skill but it works

hi joris,
thanks for your reply! however, i don't think i can right click as i'm on a mac and its mouse does not have right/left buttons so that i can right click. is there a way that the mac can do that? i used to be able to press//download/save a photo or graphic on a previous browser (netscape) and in the process find out what the name of that file was which would work the same way as what i would do by right clicking the photo as you described. now with safari and os 10.x this does not happen.

That’s a difficult one.
I am sure there is a way in a Mac to ask the properties of a picture (of anything in fact) but as PC user I don’t know which way.
Another thing you can do is just click on the picture and you will get an address something like this: http://www.woophy.com/images/org/18621.jpg Just only copy the number (without .jpeg) and paste it behind http://www.woophy.com/photo/18621
This must work for sure
Good luck

If you have a Mac with a one-button mouse, you can do 'right-clicking' by pressing the Ctrl-key while clicking. This is, assuming that you are using OS X. I'm not sure about OS 9 and before. Anyway, if you connect a two-button USB mouse to a Mac running OS X, it will behave just like a mouse does in Windows, in other words, you can right-click by using the right mouse button.
By the way, Joris, wouldn't there be a way to simplify this procedure in a future update of Woophy?

hi,
thanks all! yes i can now get the id number of the photo at the same time that i click on it and open the full-sized image from the forum entry.
however, one original question remains unanswered. is there a way to look up a member's other photo contributions if i have only seen one of that member's photos inserted into a forum message which does not mention their name but i do have the id number? can you link the id number of a photo to the contributor's name so that you can then have a look at all the other photos that member sent to woophy?
cheers,

Yes, when you get the picture pop up, ckick on the members name and you will get his profile (which is different from the profile in the forum)
There you see his or her other pictures
