After several month with Woophy I felt that the standard green frame needs to be upgraded to something that will enable our photos to better stand up, to be at their best. The present frame chokes the image and my recommendation is to add some white space around, or gray or even dark tone. Samples of my idea are enclosed below together with the present one.
I'd appreciate your comments.

I think it's very much a personal choice. I like Woophy's colorscheme and am perfectly happy with the current background for my pictures.
I agree that a frame might make some pictures look better, but maybe this feature can be added as an option in the future.

I didn't intend to solve the design issue here and I'm sure a serious consideration must to be taken before. Take a look at some other photo sites, personal or public, and see that every picture gets a space around even if it's minimum. Maybe a light green as the background might be sufficient.

I still think it's a matter of personal preference. But as I said before, it might be nice as an option.

i think that pictures should be bigger - some of my pictures look much better when they are bigger, especially big landscapes...

I think the light green space around a picture is a good start for a frame which isolates it from the buttons bars, Matching the existing Woophy tones.12712

Alex,

It is not that simple.

There are so many things you have to take in to acount when designing a screen.

However thanks for your advice.

HiHo!

The woophy standard photo frame looks good, but it is a little bit too small. I think it would be better, if members would have the choice between a standard size and a big size for fast internet connections. The big size should be about twice of the size of the standard photo frame.

Please excuse my bad english,

krystian from Germany

kzk -> i think bigger picture frame also means more traffic. I'm not sure if traffic's cost is an issue for woophy owners, but it might slow down the servers... imho
