... and with that I mean an EASY way to get in touch with each other IN REACTION to a photo or a comment.
Example:
Someone writes a comment on one of my photos. I can reply with a comment of myself. Fine. MAYBE he/she reads MY reply... most likely not.

My CURRENT reaction often is to go to HIS/HER collection and comment on a recent photo. But I will NOT remember which photo that was either, and hence will NOT see any replies posted there !

In other words, there is no easy way to social contact, to connecting with other members, other than to write a personal message.

I'd love to have a way to start a 'thread' connected to one's 'home page' so comments and replies would stay together and be quickly accessible. It is one of the reasons I don't often post my work here and find that Google+ and even Facebook are more user friendly in that respect.

Kind regards,
Francois

I think you have a good point, although we can have that kind of contact in a forumitem.
We do that about subjects, not about eachothers pictures, but we could.

It is just because all the reactions and tributes of so many people I cannot find a nice way on Facebook, there is so much at once there.

Here we have just pictures, it is not that complicate.

I hope Woophy will stay that clear.

But I also hope we can communicate clear and then your point can help a lot.

Hi François,
In this case, what I usually do is to send a message through the "send a message" icon, available on the top right of the member welcome screen.

Hi Trudy,
thanks for the reply

Maybe just a way to get a 'warning' (like when someone posts a reply in the forum !) that a new comment to a photo has been placed (NOT one's OWN photos!) would already be a big help.

I DO get an email whenever someone comments on my pictures. But I would maybe like an email too if someone comments on a picture that I have commented on too. That way one can at least answer and reply through the photo comments and keep things 'on topic'.

If any OTHER contact is desired one can do that of course through the forum or Private Messages.

Just thinking out loud

Hi Zeeg,

yes, that's an option, but I'd like to keep comments and replies WITH the photo that started it. Mine or the one I visit of another member.

I like that idea very much!

Coucou, François!

I also think the way you do. It would be a good idea if technically Woophy could find a way "to keep comments and replies with the photo that started it", with a kind of an alert that we could (or not) turn on if you intended to "follow" that "conversation/critics" with a particular (or more) member(s). Maybe not easy to do it but, who knows, ... maybe on theway with woophy 3
Best regards to all
M

I hope somebody of Woophy reads here..... Thanks for the support of the idea. I think it would increase usefulness of the site.

Hi Everyone,

Yep, someone from Woophy is here. And just so everyone knows, I read the forums pretty much EVERY day so please keep the comments and suggestions coming...we REALLY listen!!

Now as far as "Interaction" on Woophy is concerned, I completely agree with you Francois. I think the way we socialize and interact on Woophy can be made much better.

Some of you might have read my comment about a new rating system being the 6th thing on our "to do" list. Well, better interaction between members is probably like #2...or maybe #3.

Also, Trudy mentioned Facebook. Facebook has a lot of great features no doubt. But at the end of the day I think Facebook's soul just seems kind of empty.

I think people around the world with a "Woophy" state of mind deserve a place just as good, if not better than Facebook so they can socialize, support, and explore with one another...not to mention just have FUN!!...I don't see Facebook having a meeting in Madrid that everyone is excited about

Woophy is authentic. Woophy has soul. That's why I like it so much.

So anyway, please hang in there a little while longer and I really think you will start to see some positive changes starting to happen at a fairly rapid pace...at least a rapid pace for Woophy that is

-JP

P.S. Just so you know, A LOT has already happened behind the scenes. Terry JUST finished moving close to 3,000,000 images to "the cloud" yesterday which is a HUGE step towards having Woophy perform better for everyone around the world. Plus it gives Woophy all the room it needs to grow.

And don't tell Terry I told you this but he is ALSO secretly working on some stuff for mobile phones that I'm not supposed to tell anyone about

Then, on top of that, Woophy(Rotterdam) has already done some amazing re-design work that we can't wait to share with everyone.

So trust me, things are happening!!

Hi JP,

good to hear, and thanks for the quick reply. I just noticed I'm around for almost 2 years again already, so I guess I can wait a little longer to see the changes

Keep up the good work, and heck, maybe Woophy can do a 5 Billion IPO one day too !
