Zoidberg said: Another idea: account limitations for not paying members (1 picture upload each day; limited number of comment to other pictures...)
On a site like Onexposure, it's only one upload a week for the non paying accounts !

yes Zeeg, and I guess that this picture has to be approved for some admin before is published, isn't it?

Exactly zoidberg, there is a screening by the members and by the staff before being published. But of course in Woophy the question is not to make a screening but just to consider that the number of uploads is correlated to the costs (server etc...). So it is natural to limit the number of uploads for free accounts. Furthermore that would push some people to be more selective, and improve the quality of the site !

btw i started to send emails to my countrys members in there languages.. (first inGerman)maybe that will help. as i am the only ambassador in switzerland, there is a lot of work, but maybe it will help to find some sponsors.
what do you think? is that a idea to do it in other countrys as well? not all could probably understand the official email in english.. makes it more personal in the own language and it could help.. at least i hope so!!
keep on going greetings K.

@Coffeejunkie It is a good initiative. But I am not sure, perhaps people get offended by e-mails asking for donations? Any experiences yet?
@all What about translating the text in the orange bar at the top of the page into different languages and then showing it rotational? With the link leading to a translated donate page?
Or putting flags for the main languages in the orange bar, leading to an explanation and a donate page in the according language?
Kind regards Bernhard

Why not remind people when they are given a comment on their picture to look at the orange bar? A lot of people who don't visit the forum don't know what is going on.

@ all : after reading Bernhard's suggestions , an other idea maybe change the banner'position and put it just above the tabs "map, members etc.." and maybe make it larger to make it more visible? this way, no one could say as here " I didn't saw" (pic by Attila Micskó) i think the language isn't trully a barrier : when they really want to understand, members use a translator ! regards, brigitte

@ brigitte
Yes, a more prominent banner position is a good idea. As it is now, people may think it is an ordninary ad and ignore it. I tend to do this on websites.

You're right Brigitte and Bernhard, we need some banner more visible and attractive, to make people aware of the emergency !

Dear Woophy members,
Nice ideas. Thank you all! Another idea, promoting Woophy in your facebook page (I have read that it is bigger than google in USA)!
Best regards!

is it right that someone pay 2€/month, giving the possibility of other members (that didn't pay), like HoangVanBizetDan and Paulo Calafate, to upload all the kind of uninteresting pictures?
