Hi everyone. If I see a picture of a pretty litle child, an small puppy or kittien I like to said what comes to my heart and some times the word is cute. And I think that answer is more accurate than just saying, Good Exposure, well use os metering and right withe balance. Im not a pro so mostly I use to comment what fellings I get through your pics
Thanks Vixstix for bringing about the topic and the others for your very honest reply

About an other language then English, I would say I don't like that because I am very curious than what they were writing and I like it too when I can read what other members are saying about the picture. no matters when it's bad English or not . My Enlish isn't good too, but I think the members will understand what I am meaning now

I have made a list of positive words, so I often look on my paper, but I feel a bit unsecure, because I am not always sure about the right use. So can you call a picture appetizing? Or keen? I also use a little "translationmachine "from my google toolbox. Sometimes I realy do not understand what the comment means and then I take the dictionary. Perhaps my English is getting better by being on Woophy a lot. Perhaps we can start an other forum with nice words, for example I post the word pretty and then you post pictures who express the word pretty. The one who posted the picture puts on a new word, for example smart, and the someone shows a picture wich expresses smart. But I still want to say cute against a nice kitten, puppy or baby. Because that word expresses my feelings about that picture. regards Trudy

Hehe guys, it wasn't an open sollicitation actually, but thx for your nice comments
But Trudy described what I was trying to make clear... Not every synonym of cute (or any other word) is appropiate to comment a picture...

Darling is appropriate for all sorts of things!
Darling harbour: by Piotrus
That's in Sidney, where they've opened their hearts real deep to seafaring.
But you're right. It is very difficult to call a picture darling. It's a stupid synonym for cute!

Thanks so for all the interesting comments on my very first posting! Firstly may I apologise to anyone who saw my comment as an attack on their English skills. For myself, I have only English, and so, unlike many/most other woophies, am a linguistic dunderhead.
Secondly, I can't tell you how excited I am since I found Woophy. So many inspirational photographers and fantastic images from all round the world. So much to learn! I am not really into censorship of any kind, was just speaking metaphorically. I too, like the idea that someone has viewed an image of mine and had a response. I too, view work and want to give the image maker a sense of my first response. We would all have to love the Brilliant, fine pic and 5 comments: I enjoy sending out what I hope are true words of encouragement. And so no banning!...................... but also.................think about it........children and pets and darling little trucks may always be cute. Does the image say more? Big buildings and blokes never are, even if they are in a humourous image. Now I think about it I could be wrong about that. That might be my next project! Again, thanks for all the food for thought, cheerio!
p.s. Sorry to take so long to check in with this forum. I have to tussle with my family for the use of the computer!
