2.0 link to you own collection and search engines
What some of you might not realize is that something really fundamental changed with Woophy 2.0. From now on every photo and every member has its own web page on Woophy. Before it was almost impossible to create links form another site to members collections or pictures on the Woophy site.
But from now on every picture has an url like this
http://www.woophy.com/photo/325531
And every member has an url like this
http://www.woophy.com/member/sawsengee
It sounds not so interesting except that you can send friends a link to your collection now. But the real interesting part is that search engines like Google also have access to our database.
This means when you type ‘zoomfreaky’ into Google you will get her Woophy photo page (fifth) or when you type ‘woophy vancouver’ into the search engine you will get a picture of Vancouver on Woophy.

Very interesting to know this. For my member's name, this is difficult to find the woophy link among a huge number of references. Do you know how the picture is selected when typing the name of a town ? I have seen that sometimes you get also a link to a page of forum (exemple 'woophy la rochelle').

@ Chritian, how search engines work nobody really knows. But if you want to be found it is important to use the right descriptive text like place, object keywords etc. Also external links (from other sites) to your Woophy profile might make your page more ‘important’ for search engines

Thanks Joris. I have tried searching with "woophy Christian C" and I have got the link to my woophy photo page at the first line of results.

Great tool Joris, now our photos, and our id names are searchable in Google....and here is a link to the search if I type sawsengee in Google:
http://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q =sawsengee&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
the search result itemises my database in Woophy as well as my very small and obsolete collection of pics. in Flickr as well.
You and Marcel marvel us by the day with Woophy 2.0
Keep it up.
Best regards......sawsengee
