If you are watching an image and want to see more of this photographer, some are not accessible. For example eric lafforgue who has included an URL into his nickname:

eric lafforgue www.flickr.com/photos/mytripsmypics/

I've just come across an add for "sexy free mature women" on the member-page and on this forum's page. I don't mind a few adds for relevant sites and subjects but I can't really see the relevance of this.

Kind Regards,

W.Z.

I'm sorry, I did not read all the messages. Here is what I first noticed:

I like a lot the country pagem very nice! The fact that i can look at the last 24 h pictures in the search page in gropus bigger of 10 is very nice.

One thing I noticed that I don't like much (but maybe you can tell me a way to avoid it) is that to se a pic in full size I have to first open a new page with the pic and comments and only then I can click on the pic to see it full size, I think it takes a bit of time away.

FAQ is welcomed too.

About the content,

Thank you for :
Can I enter a picture in a forum thread without first uploading it onto my own portfolio?
Yes, in the forum you can also post pictures by other Woophy members or pictures stored outside Woophy.

But what about :
Are Woophy’s photos free of copyright?
The copyright remains with the photographer. It is only allowed to use this picture for non commercial personal use.

Search tab
Searching for keywords by rating does not work. Whether I try ascending or descending makes no difference for the order in which the pictures appear. (I searched for the keyword bee)

Exif
Flash info often incorrect.
Exif info on ACR processed images seems totally off.
The date/time issue seems real to me (omitting it helps copyright protection)

Navigation
Reading all comments involves an extra click, that is a pity.
It would be nice if the rating stars were closer to the comment box at the bottom of the comment list.
Navigation to full size and back is cumbersome (too many clicks)

Compatiblity
The thumbs on the map page are incompatible with Opera.
The magic wand for logging in (Opera) is sluggish.
In firefox, I have to type my whole email address to log in. (Before, the first letter would suffice.)

Other things
The right hand side in my browsers stays empty in all tabs (except the map view, where the whole browser window is used). That's a waste of valuable real estate!

What bothers me most is the cropped thumbnails. I really need uncropped miniatures to assess if a picture is worth a closer view. The second most important issue (in my mind) is the copyright sensitive info in the exif summary.

Hi Devish (and Ruud).
There are 2 ways to get to the larger pic. Either click on the small pic, to get add'l info (exif, ...), and click again on the pic. Or, click on the 'enlarge' symbol at the bottom left of the small pic (which is simpler, but not what we used to do) .

Ah, there's a little magnifying glass below the picture!! Thanks, Ortho, I wouldn't have found it myself (unless after a few weeks or so).

Navigation to full size and back is not so cumbersome after all!

Anyhow, I agree on the cropped thumbnails...they don't help an easy navigation

One thing I would like to understand: looking at the pics from the last 24h I can go pic by pic only for the pictures that are currently in the thumbnail on the right, I have to then moove on the thumbnails to go on with the larger pics, isn't there an easyer way?

Don't know if this has been pointed out....
But if you are viewing somebody's profile pictures in the small viewing window, you can only view the selection of photo's displayed on the background page, you can't go further when there are more photo's. You have to go back to the main window to change the page and view the next lot of pics! Just a small thing really, but this wasn't a problem in 1.0 !

devish & mrfitz are talking about the same problem I am. All scrolling seems to have been made much more difficult. The same is true if you are looking at the collection of an individual. I'd go so far as to say it is practically impossible to scroll thru a large group of pictures. I hope there is a fix for this.

i agree with ortho and ruud. many of my own pictures are presentated in the thumbnails in a heavily mutlated form. from some vertical/upright pictures there is always nothing left.

First, congratulations to the staff for the New Thing! You made it great, folks...

But, about the Trouble with Cropped Thumbnails: It is really a serious problem, I'm afraid it could affect the way people discover new pictures, and the spirit of this site itself.
I mean: with the old thumbnails it was rather quick and easy to have a general survey on the new uploads, so new pictures of old and new members had high chances of being viewed and properly appreciated. And now? I fear that the cropped thumbnails will prevent many members from searcing directly among the new entries, giving more attention to already-rated pics or somebody else's favourite members and pics. Woophy could become a thing of people that view mainly pictures chosen by very few members...

Hi Joris,

first i want to mention that woophy 2.0 is a step in a new direction and really not bad at all.

I am a little exotic and do not have Windows installed. I use Linux (OpenSuSE 10.3) with the current version2.0.012 of Mozilla Firefox and Flash Player V 9,0,115,0. There is one annoying thing: In the detailed view of a pic the window decoration is hidden behind the map, so you can not move or close it. Here are two pics showing this issue:

There is another thing which should be improved: Before uploading a picture it is difficult to select the right city when there are several cities with the same name, because you don't see the coordinates:

Can you please add another column showing the coords!?

Thanks in advance and "happy bugfixing"!

Problem with some names members: exemple Antònio Peixoto Guimarães

When I click on the name of the member, the answer is that this member doesn't exist.

Hello Joris,

Good job , I'm still addicted to woophy , and I noted something to improve :

When you're watching the shots of somebody , the list of pages in written above the miniatures and if there is a full pages , to change to the next page we are obliged to go on the top of the page.

If you repeat this list of links to next pages below the miniatures , it could be easier to navigate.

I also noticed that when you explore the shots in middle format , you are obliged to close the shot before changing the page .

it could be also nice to continue to explore all shots in middle format without close the shot between each pages.

;o) Regards

He Joris and Marcel,

Great job with the site, a good improvement!

I've got two comments;

1 (personally) I don't like the chosen font. Its old fashiond and does not fit the site. There are better readeble fonts. It's better to chose a tight font.

2 I uploaded a few pictures. After finishing uploading I went to 'added last 24h'. I noticed I added all my photos twice. How come? I can't recall I dubbel clicked 'submit' twice with every photo.

Hi all!

Something for me very important that I miss in Woophy 2.0. The EXIF data does'nt show the 'f number', and for me the aperture value is an essential part of the pic.

Is it possible to show 'f number' in the EXIF data?

Greetings and congratullations again. The site works excellently!

I tried More than 4 times with 1 shot without success with firefox, with IE7 , with firefox with the ie tab plugin , rebooted my pc and so on .

I tried with another photo and it worked well .
