I don't mean to sound so egocentric, but I think it would be nice if voters (especialy those who are critical) would leave comments. How can we improve unless we know what we're doing wrong ? Out of all the negative votes I received only one person took the extra 3 seconds to commenton the photograph. What can be done?
What should be done?
I thought I had more questions

Scott. . Hi, you do not sound at all egocentric ! In fact, this topic has been discussed - apparently endlessly, and certainly with no discernible outcome - in many previous Forums, e.g. -
http://www.woophy.com/forum/index.php?action=vthread&forum=2&topic=291 4
As you will see, on reading through these earlier discussions, the simple - and sad - answer to your question seems to be : " Nothing can be done ". So long as Woophy remains a democracy, there are always likely to be members who give lower rates than pictures deserve, but haven't either the courtesy, or the courage, to state their reasons. My advice, as it has always been : Ignore the blighters and, above all, don't let them discourage you or put you off from full participation in Woophy. And remember : most Woophy members are eager to give as full, and helpful, comments as their command of English permits.
Regards

Ha Geoffrey i see you used my old thread hahahaha ive come to agree with majority like your self that just ignore the low rates and as for comments there's a lot of people on here that cant understand English, im English and i cant understand half of what i write.
Maybe woophy could have a translator button on woophy 2.0 which links to googles translator. but i dont think google have a translator for my jargon.
This might help some people in the future http://www.google.com/language_tools. You might see people like Henkie who put a lot of info on their picture but bless him its quite difficult to understand (look who's talking).
So Joris can we have a link or button for a translator tool thanks.
And scott dont do what i did and throw your teddy out your pram and delete your account as finding it hard to locate my old photos.

At one time, I was a bit bothered by the fact that people would vote on my photos, but, leave no comment. Especially the low votes. I even went to the extent of writing in the description that if a person votes on one of my photos, to please leave a comment. It didn't work so I resigned myself to the fact that... it just ain't gonna happen. I think that if people would have the common courtesy, even if they aren't that well spoken in English, to at least type the voting number they've given.. low or high. Just my two cents worth and I refuse to get my hopes up that it will change.
I hope everyone is having a great evening, morning or night, wherever you are!

Thank you all for your comments, I think this site is great it's so much better than most. So I'll just have to put up with inconsiderate, and unimaginative people. Justlike in the rest of the world.
