Right on high note i think we should do our bit to promote the forum get some new blood fresh ideas into this community. so i suggest we look through peoples galleries and see new people or old people who are inactive and email with an invite to this thread to say hi and post a photo sort of like a welcome so what you say im gonna find someone now and expand this forum.

Hi Jonny,
Thanks for the invite, you'll be seeing my name on the forum. Probably asking more questions then giving answers as I am still learning every time I take a picture. So far I found whoopy interesting as it seems a nice group people who are serious about photogrpahy without the snobism that some other sites show.
After receiving your message I have looked at your pictures, very nice.

I'm afraid I'm a little lost. I see that all Jonny greentree pictures are deleted so I figure his account was deleted. Was he a fake? This Pampero, Raquel and other are members of Woophy.Or is there another reason?
Anyway I don't see him on Ortho158 list of fakes

Jack, he is a very real person who had been very active on Woophy. Unfortunately, he allowed himself to become very upset about some posts in another forum thread and he left the group.
As Joris had mentioned in the other thread, words in print sometimes seem more harsh and unfriendly than intended. Part of his post was, “In Holland we say ‘The Soup is not Eaten as Hot as Served’ which means that usually things are not meant as harsh as they sound ….”
Sometimes when a person is upset, especially about a written post, it is better to walk away from the computer for awhile and think about it before taking hasty action. I suspect Jonny might still be with us had he given himself some time to cool down before leaving in anger. It is a shame to loose a member who had made many positive contributions to this group.

@Steve L.
Thanks for the answer. At least I have an explanation. An instant I thought Joris had deleted him . But he will return. Woophy is like a magnet for those who like photos. I talk by experience. I always wanted to be part of this community with his defaults and his advantages and I'm sure Johnny will return one day.
"De soep wordt nooit zo heet gegeten als hij geserveerd wordt", such a simple and harmless dutch expression. Is it because of that that he left???

Think he feels silly after his little tantrum and think he regretted leaving :-)
And think he wanted to apoligise to you all for being bit mardy.

Jonny. It takes a big man to admit he was wrong and say sorry. Welcome back.

Hello! I´m a new member!
I just left this message in another forum (I think I was mistaken, this forum should be better).
Someone can help me undertand how this site "works"! Who is the T-shirt winner? As we process the various competitions? There is some interest in that photographs are discussed? Which the scale used? I tried to find some instruccions about it, here in this site, but ......i´m a little ..... , you know!!!!

Leonor67. First - welcome to Woophy. There have been many Forum discussions about T-shirt nominations. You will find the most recent at -
http://www.woophy.com/forum/index.php?action=vthread&forum=2&topic=293 7
Discussion on Member of the Month has also taken place regularly. Again, the most recent is -

How each member judges another's pictures is up to them. If you like a picture, and think it is of a good technical quality, you give it a high rating ( say 4 or 5 ), and add your comment about why you like it. On the other hand, you may give a lower rating ( say 2 to 3 ) to what you think is a less good picture, and explain why you think that. Many members do not explain the reason why they have given low ratings, and this has caused a lot of annoyance !
Hope you find this helpful.
