Dearest Woophy members,
After having been away for 2 weeks due to an incredible amount of work, I am happy to be back to this awesome website - I really missed you all, and now i'm going to upload some new pics from cool places in London...
Tonight I made an incredble discovery that I feel I must share with you.
If you click on the search page, and insert the dates of this past week (12/11 to 19/11) and sort by rating, something magical will happen.
If you click forward to page 15 of the list, the one with pictures 700-750 (of 3585) , around the middle of the page, at some point you will see AN ASTONISHING DISPLAY OF GORGEOUS PICTURES - all with rating UNDER AVERAGE 5.
I want to share this with you, because I really care for everybody here to see some really good pictures from around the world, otherwise probably forgotten because not perfect (at least according to rating).
Posting these awesome pics, I would like to remind everybody that a rating system is made up FOR rating, and allows better circulation of opinions ... Be sensible when you rate!!!

very nice pictures you picked, and Nathan I am sure that you wont be kicked out for being critical. I think it takes a lot more to be kicked out!

Well Nathan I agree , the pict are very nice, but all these pictures are photoshopped, and yesI know, the result is outstanding, but not every body has the know-how or the software to do the same.
Thats why I rated not so much of those pictures.
There are a lot of < normal > beautiful pict too.

Dear Dieuwertje,
First of all, I actually don't think that these pics are all photoshopped - but the post is definitely not about photoshopped pictures.
The Post is to show the Woophy members that there can be beautiful pictures without a perfect rating of average 5 - and that voting every picture a 5 is not productive, because it takes away from all those pictures - (in the 15th page of the search) that will not be viewed because don't have a perfect rating, and most members don't bother searching for so long.
I am glad that you don't like photoshopped pictures and that you give your frank opinion (and rating) to these pictures. I wish everybody did so, motivating their choice, instead of giving a 5 that is overrated and un motivated.
Hope this clarified my intentions!

I guess that I entirely deserve this.
Glad to report that all my pictures have been sistematically DOWNRATED - all of them!
Now, I'll be happy to appear on page 15 of the woophy search -
See what i mean about being sensible??? :D

Hi Nathan, I wouldn't be critical at all, and I like your intensions very much and I agree that some pict are sometimes over rated, ( including some of my own pict ) .
But there are so much photo's it's hard to discover them all.

Hi Nathan, sorry for the downratig you have recieved. It seems we are facing a plague... Anyway, I'm not surprised that the real value of some pics in this site does not go exactly togeter with their rating. The number of comments, IMO, is a better signal. Personally, I do not use the search engine as often as you do: I prefer to start with lthe last uploads, or keep an eye on the "last comment" thumb to see what's going on. Let's wait for Woophy 2 and see what will happen...
