There has been much discussion recently about members leaving. Some time ago Icarus, having burnt himself out, fluttered exhausted to the ground. Now, after having endured a Sysiphus experience, he's returned revitalised, as SJS ( should, surely, be Orpheus ! ). Welcome back, Stewart.

I don't understand why they leave Wopphy.

Ricardo Baigorria, Aline -he has just one pic-, john melskens, stijn coppens, GJB, and moore.
They are greats photographers and I miss so mucha. Make me feel sad, i miss they comments , critics and advises.
Is sad that the people go away from Woophy...
I think that all they are important to make Woophy a bigest site even with they comments and complainings.

I love Woophy. Woophy give me a lot of things, friendship is the most important thing to me, and the posibility to share photos of differents places of the world (places that I never will go).

My Dear Geoffrey,
Some 6 weeks later, on Christmas nght, I have found this posting by complete chance. I'm embarrassed. But I can still thank you for the gesture. It is what you are about.
As for leaving & returning, I can't speak for any others who may have left, although I know the reasons of two or three.
Quite simply, at a time of very grave personal crisis, a woofy-member made the quite human mistake of forgetting how easy it is to hurt people just by attacking them without thinking, or puttting themselves into the shoes of the target. That person might try thinking of others, instead of yourself first. Everything we say & do to the others has an effect. An emotional effect. If we could all understand that, we'd be going in the right direction, I reckon.
I was angry, but unable to defend myself - things were too bad. So I just instantly went to the 'account' page & cancelled. Disappeared.
3 months later, I felt like trying again, but very cautiously. Things are not really better, personally. I don't know what will happen in the future.
It feels different this time, I can't explain why. Perhaps because I am being so cautious in the photos I post. I could repeat some from before maybe. This reflects the fact that I don't shoot like I used to, because I don't have such an unlimited range of subjects. I miss that.
We'll see. It is - as they say -cool.
