PORTUGAL is going to win this time

IF NOT, LIFE WILL GO ON AS USUAL!!

Platini has already said he wants Spain and Germany at the final

CR7 is not done yet!! Olé!!!

So tonight it all boils down to the clash of the two Iberian rivals.

Every second person believes that Spain will triumph, but it's high time that Portugal deliver and take the sweet revenge of the World Cup 2010 defeat.

And I hope the Portuguese put an end to Spain's tiki-taka philosophy by playing with some real flamboyance tonight.

Miguel, though I am not that famous octopus Paul, my prediction is that Portugal will proceed to the final by a goal difference of 1.

Happy watching tonight.

I'm too calm for my normal state of mind in these situations, and I'm wondering why. Knowing that Spain is favorite in any match with anyone, in these recent years, I may remember that we won 4-0 in our last game, even not official, and only lost 1-0 with an offside goal in the last World Cup. So, I must be convincing myself (and that's not easy, I assure) that... it's all possible to happen tonight. At least i hope it wil be an interesting game and that the tiki-taka won't bore me again. What a pleasure to see Pirlo play against England, without the Xaví and fellows way, in a kind of a circus programme (sorry, Santí, but if I enjoyed seeing La Roja playing about 2 years ago, now it's not the same... almost a mechanic software image it's transmitted to the viewer).
Well, if NGC is right, I promise tomorrow to go for a tikka kebab followed by gulab jamun (this one harder to find here) in his honour

Enjoy tonight (with no cases for both sides)!

Don't have to apologize Miguel, people enjoys different things everytime!!
I hope we will have a beautiful and fair match, with so many goals as possible (although I guess it will be with not so many...)
I agree with NGC300 that the result will be with 1 goal difference, but I hope he's wrong with the winner!
Anyway, I keep my original bet about the Eurocup final winner: Germany...

PS: I would also love a ridiculous performance tonight from Piqué, Ramos and CR7

Wishful thoughts, Miguel!!

Life is a miracle and so is football

Hope J.Moutinho, Cr7, Nani, Coentrão and Co. will be inspired and UEFA "lacaios" won't spoil the picture.

Tomorrow is my birthday, so I hope I'll be celebrating our victory at 12.pm with my family!!

POTUGAL, PORTUGAL, PORTUGAL.....até à FINAL!!!

Santi, I love you! Sorry!!

Santiago suffers from an identity problem.

Somewhere deep in his DNA, there are nine centuries old portuguese genes shouting and I can hear them whispering

Cierre...

Cierre...

Cierre Siete...

A diappointing clash between two giants more afraid to make a mistake than eager to settle for victory . More like a chess game.
Spain never reached its normal level of skill and Portugal played its favourite reactive game. Hardly anything happening in the goal areas. For me as a neutral fan of soccer a very long waiting game. I can live with any winner from the shootouts but it would be fair if it will be Spain.
I hope for a better second semi final to morrow.

Weeeeell!! I was very afraid for the penalty shoots, but we were lucky!!

About the game, Jan is perfectly right, during the first 90mn Spain didn't have their normal level skill, but I think it was because Portugal really played their best football, not allowing Spain to have and play the ball as they like. Not just bad skill from Spain but very good skill from Portugal.

During the extra 30 minutes it was a bit different. Portuguese players were more tired so it was easiest for Spain to play as they like, a lot of passes just waiting for a hole in the defense.

And the penalty shoots.... well, it's just luck here... (Ramos and Piqué had my friendship just during those minutes. I hate them now so much as before!!)

To my portuguese friends, I'm really sorry... You deserved so much as Spain to play the final. From the deepest place in my heart I really hope to see you winning an Eurocup or a World Cup!!! After bloody CR7 is retired from football, of course!!

And about the final, I really hope Germany there. I think Spain won't win the final and I strongly prefer to loose the final against the germans.

Santí, I know this has nothing to do with football, but I wouldn't stand mrs.Merkel's smile if Germany wins! Sorry (mainly for my german friends who have nothing to do with present home politics)! I do prefer to see Italy against Spain!

After yesterday's

I am now standing behind the Germans to quash the Azzuri, and then ransack the Spanish defense.

PS: Just why didn't CR7 take the spot kick instead of that shaky Alves?

Ronaldo is an extraordinary player, but he has a complex of inferiority because of Messi.
He wants to be nr 1 player of the world so badly that he thought he had to shine in this Championship in order to convince he is the best. Worse than that, he convinced himself that he could do no mistakes.
When the time to score the penaltys came, he preferred not to expose himself. He could miss the penalty, everybody would notice that! If that happened, if he missed, the trophy to the best footplayer of the year would go to Messi... again. What he didn't expect was that everybody would criticize him much more, because he didn't participate than if he missed. Sergio Ramos had more reasons to avoid the penaltys, but he scored anyway.
Ronaldo, in spite of that glamour around his image, is as fragile as each one of us, but I'm not sure if we will ever forgive him.

Well, he didn't participate in the penalties just because the last shot was not needed. What I think is he wanted to shot the last penalty to appear as the hero of the match. What he didn't expect was the situation were the 5th Portuguese shot was irrelevant.
And yes, he's a great player, it's true. But he's also soooooo arrogant!!! Do you remember that sentence when the crowd boos to him "It's surely because I'm good-looking, rich and a great footballer. They're jealous of me. I don't have any other explanation." ?
