if its not too much trouble could somebody please tell me how to edit my signature (or name atleast) onto my photos using GIMP, i'm new to editing so i really dont have a clue.

Hi, Coleran!
I only use Gimp once in a while. For my watermark I use Helicon Filter. Anyway, I guess you can find the answer for your question here (but not 100% sure):

Hi Craig, you can also use Faststone which is an excellent free viewer.URL
I use it for years, very handy with a lot of tools and options.
For watermarks, go to Tools/Batch convert selected images/button "Advanced options"/Tab "Watermark"
