Amazing, people!! It is a pleasure to see so many people join this play field! It is also a pleasure to see so many different alternatives. I guess the imagination is running on high power. Could it be the spring that the spring is knocking on your doorsteps?
Marek km2bp 3 versions, Marek! Good playing with mirrors, and it looks nice with the rounded soft frame!
Emmy I wish the clouds was already there when I shot this, because it feels like they should have been there after seeing how good they look in your version!
michel dr I've said this a few times, and I'm not afraid to say it again!.. I love high contrast photos! The whole place looks like it has just burned!
HaNNel (Hans van Dongen) If I did not shoot this photo, I'd never believe your version actually is a new photo! Excellent effect!
Abílio Silveira You knew very well I'd love this version, Abílio! I had to look for a whole second before it looked familiar!
Tensionhead Whaaaat??? No inside jokes? He-he... Okay. I'l tell you, but you have to promise not to tell anyone! (Trusting you will not! ). Hm. Actually, I will not tell you there is a photo from Abílio that has been hanging on my wall for some time! It is a private thing! So you have to guess what the secret is!
Marja C Three versions! All slightly different showing how much possibilities a photo can have! A touch of colors certainly gives ideas!
chevylady Your fake HDR version really looks different than the rest! 4 Colors only, and a consisting only 5 shapes! Actually, I had a small glimpse of it before it was deleted. No reason to be afraid! It is all for the fun in this topic!

Thanks, Vidar, for letting us "play" with your beautiful image, even allowing us to "change" it! I took advantage to build my 2nd experiment in "pataphotography" )
Here it goes:

(Original - indeed very different and better - by Cloudbuster)

New heights! This is fun, and you're doing some wonderful work everybody!
fotogravenswaay You're really pushing the limits!
ThierryBakker It is not bad at all! I cannot remember the last time I played around like that. Hm... Got to do something about it
ortho158 it actually took some time before I saw what you did!
A.Miguel Oliveira i have no idea what "pataphotography" is, but do not stop with this one!
Igone I think you should have a serious talk with Miguel...! This little topic is supposed to bring the smile and imagination out of the closet, not war!
DOLO Interesting experiment with the four colors A full yellow version of the photo might actually work I'll go back some day and try to shoot when it is raining! Thank's for the idea!
This is fun! It is Friday night and my lady just pour up a glass of wine to us! Cheers!

A little cropping and rotation, a little added saturation, some color adjustment, lightening of a dark area, and one small addition.
and another approach:

Mist rolling in Fetsund....

I tried to imagine something that would add mood to the image, and in the same time make the red wall of the hut a bit lighter (you call those hut "robur" or something like, don't you?).

TBM, Hi! We call it "Rorbu", but this probably a tool shed. It is from a museum called "lensemuseet" (I have no idea what "lense" is but it is probably due to the fact that timber was picked up from the water.) They where floating timber down the river a few decades ago. This is from the lower part of the river, and a place where some of it was collected and treated.
About the photo You have produced the kind of fog I dream of shooting! The red color comes out very nice, and the photo looks good!

My previous entry was an attempt to imitate a pen-and-ink sketch, but the thought of a porcelain tile was intriguing. this is the result.
image altered with Photoshop 6.0: color removed, cropped, contrast and hue changed , and graphic pen, glass bead, and drop shadow effects added with layers.
