Hi Hector,
This weekend is erwinG's turn, next one will be ortho158's, next will be your turn, etc... Already opened threats are in italic letter, that means from Ruden Fretsbo until zoidberg are already opened.
Un abrazo!

Hi, I like to join this workgroup ( if that's still possible).I'm hoping to learn from the comments and get tips how to do better. My only doubt is that I don't have enough experience to comment other photographers yet. Best Regards Dieneke

as there are music minded contributors in this forum: just a little musical intrusion
The strategy "you scratch my back and I scratch yours" is not accepted in such a workgroup... Let's be serious... isn't applied by Peter Gabriel whose record will be on sale soon and titled "Scratch my back" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gjZOof4BYig&feature =related and its future answer ( available during this year) by my Heroe, David Bowie "And I'll scratch yours"
Now, let's be serious again !

WANT TO TAKE PART IN THE WORKSHOP PLEASE READ CAREFULLY THE RULES BELOW:
1. Join the workgroup in this link The of members list will be open all the time (to get in and to get out).
2. Each member of the workgroup agrees in being a critic for other members (not necessarily all them) and being criticized by the rest of members (not necessarily all them).
3. The main idea is to make a critic of a whole work from a photographer and not only of a picture. It’s aviced to browse to the whole collection of the photographer under critics (but it’s not obligatory, specially considering that there are some very large portafolios).
4. Nevertheless, a sample around 20 pictures selected by the photographer will be posted in the appropriate forum thread in order to highlight which pictures the photographer considers as the best examples of his/her photographic work. The critics will take specially these pictures into account, but all the collection can be browsed and used for the critic’s work.
5. All opinions must be accepted by all members, like it or not. The only limits for the critics is to be sincere, to be polite and to be constructive. This is supposed to be a workshop to learn... if you want flattery just have a look at the normal comments in your pictures.
6. All aspects of photography would be under critics: quality, quantity, originality, subject, composition, light, colour, white balance, edition, etc... But this doesn't mean that you must criticize all these things. Concerning the critics, you will find a very good summary in Miguel's blog here: ".Elements of Analysis
7. This workgroup doesn't intend to be an "exclusive club for experienced photographers". All members are wellcome, with all photographic levels... (If you don't know about white balance, depth of field, ISO, etc... just tell us "I like your collection or I don't like it at all and try to explain why with your own words...)
8. The strategy "you scratch my back and I scratch yours" is not accepted in such a workgroup... Let's be serious...
Now some ideas about the way to carry this out:
1st. Join the group in the forum linked before.
2nd. You will be in a queue and you will have to wait to your turn to post your own gallery in a new forum topic. There will be 4 members showing their collections at the same time for one week.
3rd. When it's your turn post a forum topic with the title: "CRITICS WORKSHOP: Member’s nickname gallery". In this topic you will cut and paste these rules and those written above and post around 20 pictures selected from your own collection. It would be nice also if you could write few words about your photographic work: what are you interested in, what do you want to transmit with your pictures, for how long you are a photographer... and whatever you think it’s important to consider for a critic
Ok trying again
My name is Marian i love to make photo's i am no perfectionist as i prove here i did practise but now all seem to go wrong . My 1st part will be different things and 2nd portraits because i havent seen groups of them I hope to learn a lot from the critics specialy to look with different eyes to my own pictures
nr.1 nr.2 nr.3 nr.4 nr.5 nr.6 nr.7 nr.8 nr.9 nr.10 nr.11 this is the only person knew that i was making photos the rest never noticed me nr.12 nr.13 nr.14 . nr.15 nr.16 nr.17 nr.18 nr.19 nr.20

Hola chebereto.

This is a very good idea. I belong to a local club, The Rockland Photography Club, in New York, and it is through the competitions and workshops that we improve, as the judges and members who have mastered photography critique our work.
I would be glad to critique. I am presently a mentor for my club and the PSA (Photography Society Of America) has asked me to mentor. I taught art for decades and have degrees in art, so I recognize great design and composition, but five years in the photo club, has taught me what makes a WOW photo, and what improvements can be made to really wonderful captures. Many folks just do not see where the center of interest is in a shot, and how cropping and removal of distractions can make a big difference. I recently joined you site, and have already noticed the really superb photographers . I do enjoy perusing all the photos, to see the landscapes around the world. it is an interesting site. MY gallery is at [url=www.http://gallery.me.com/suelee10901#101004] It opens in one album. Once there click on top, My gallery, for more. Viewing options are at the bottom
