I'm glad you all liked the second version @Bluesbuster: You're partly to blame for the new nickname (From facebook)

Personally, I am a bit undecided between the original version and Cloudbuster's second suggestion. Anyway, I tried another trick... I summoned the hard hats, and had that ceiling re-done...

@ Bluebuster : for your so fine work and its as fine title, I choose : "Ami chemin" that is too a compromise !
@fotograwensway : as you feel tension in this pic and because you turned an almost red pic to B&W, i choose :" Le rouge et le Noir"
@TBM: as you "rebuilt" the subway ceiling, i choose "Chanson pour le maçon"
but these choices are really too difficult to explain; when french isn't your native language , you loose all the sense in translation ;
anyway, I would like to thank you all by this song : Les p'tits bruns et les grands blonds" Et y a toujours une blonde Qui choisit le petit brun Une brune dans le monde Que l'blond aimera demain
And there is always a blonde Who chooses the little brown A brunette in the world That blond love tomorrow
so, crop or no crop, colour or B&W :that means everyone is right in his choice

Hi Brigitte,
Very interesting and funny challenge. I played around with your pic which is basically very good and interesting because of the composition, the perspectives, the light and the colors, and this mysterious man... So my idea was to make this man more present, and the central point of the pic.
- I started with a crop to focus on the center of the pic and to adjust the position of the man - I removed some disturbing elements (ceiling, lamp off, reflection of the man, and especially the central horizontal ramp) - finally I tried to play with the perspectives and the light
Here are some attempts:
1-
2-
3-
4-

@ Zeeg: looking at your work, i choose without doubts "Je suis sous " i can make this joke as you're french joke apart, nice from you to play with this pic and above all, to explain what you did and your purpose ; thanks !
Till now, my favourite editions are those by Bluesbuster and Ortho 158 but it's only my opinion !

Ah Ah ! bien vu "Je suis saoul..." avec la version qui penche, je n'avais pas fait le lien ...
Bluesbuster's one is my favourite too. An unexpected idea which works very well. That makes a new structure, like a window frame, which guides the eye.
